On the south coast, one end of Dover Beach, a lovely long, soft-sand strand shared with a couple of other hotels. As this is the south coast, at times the waves can be too strong for safe swimming, for adults let alone children. (By way of compensation, the hotel has two swimming pools). The location is peaceful, but the bars or St Lawrence Gap are fifteen minutes' walk away.
