Bay Lake Tower is designed to complement Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with which it shares many of its facilities, as well as offering some of the most enviable and awesome views in Walt Disney World® Resort. The Tower is also home to an exclusive swimming pool that boasts a unique waterslide enveloped in a glass block.
Location…
Located on Bay Lake, within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom Park, the resort has its own marina where guests can rent sailboats and pontoon boats, or enjoy fishing excursions, parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding and tubing (local charge payable). The 36-hole Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are both six miles from the resort.
Facilities & amenities…
Many recreational facilities are shared with Disney's Contemporary Resort, including two outdoor pools, spa tubs, restaurants, bars, lounges, cafes, shops, a fitness centre, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, spa and salon, 24-hour arcade room, a white-sand beach next to the pools overlooking the lake, shuffleboard and bocce ball courts. Also, as an extra special treat, each night (weather permitting) at 10:10 pm, the resort hosts an Electrical Water Pageant, which floats through the waters of the lake and can be viewed from Bay Lake Tower.
The resort also boasts its own exclusive zero-entry pool, Bay Cove, with a 20-foot high and 148-foot long water slide. There is also a fun water play area and whirlpool spa nearby.

On-site restaurants at Disney’s Contemporary Resort include Chef Mickey’s, which offers breakfast and dinner buffets with Disney characters as special guests, The Wave… of American Flavors serving stylish cocktails and casual American fare, and signature dining at California Grill. There are also 3 bars/lounges and a café serving snacks and sandwiches.

One- and two-bedroom villas are furnished in a contemporary style and feature full kitchens with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove and coffeemaker. Also included is an alarm clock with MP3 player, cable TV, DVD player, Wi-Fi, beverage cooler, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, full-length mirror, ceiling fan and in-room safe. Studios include smaller kitchenettes that feature a mini-fridge, wet bar, microwave and coffeemaker.
Things you should know…
Guests at Disney’s Contemporary Resort can take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour for an extra hour of “magic” each day. Each day one of Disney’s four major theme parks opens an hour early, exclusively for resort guests. Guests should check with guest services to learn which park is offering the Extra Magic Hour on any given day. Those who wish to take advantage must present valid theme-park tickets and resort ID. Resort guests can also take advantage of the complimentary motor coach transportation throughout the resort.
