Disney's Contemporary Resort is the closest hotel to the Magic Kingdom® theme park in a lakeside setting. It is within easy walking distance, but for fun you can pick up the monorail on the 4th floor of the Contemporary Tower and ride there in true Disney style. Excitingly this is the only hotel in the Walt Disney World® Resort to have the monorail pass through the main concourse and it will even take you to the nearby Epcot® theme park too.

With so many enjoyable recreational facilities at Disney's Contemporary Resort you’ll have to schedule time to explore the rest of the theme parks. The Wave...of American Flavors restaurant will meet all of your dining requirements and tastes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serving American cuisine with an international twist as well as healthy options, this casual dining area transforms into a fun night time venue too, complete with fantastic cocktails. The little ones can experience magical Character Dining at Chef Mickey’s where he will dish out hugs and pose for photos over breakfast and dinner. For fine dining with a view, opt for the resort’s signature restaurant, the Californian Grill. Salivate over gourmet food prepared at the on-stage kitchen and take in the stunning views of the Magic Kingdom® theme park and the amazing nightly firework display. For a quick bite, touch-screen kiosks at the Contempo Café allow you to order hot sandwiches and flatbreads, whilst waving at the passing monorail. Light snacks, appetisers, desserts and cocktails can be enjoyed at the California Grill Lounge, Cove Bar, The Sand Bar and Outer Rim. For kids…
As well as all the other great leisure activities, kids will love the Pirates and Pals Firework Voyage which sets sail from the Seven Seas Lagoon in Disney's Contemporary Resort. It’s an exciting adventure with singing, swashbuckling Never Land pirates and fireworks off the starboard bow. As if that wasn’t enough excitement, make sure you catch the nightly Electrical Water Pageant. This treat consists of many barges floating across Bay Lake displaying a King Neptune and sea creature parade on a tall screen accompanied by Disney music.
