Even Mickey and his friends at the Walt Disney World® theme parks are only 10 miles from the resort.
Facilities & amenities…
There are so many amenities to make your holiday at the resort unbeatable. Starting with the Greg Norman designed 18-hole golf course where you can enjoy a round or two and even take the family, or brush up your skills at their school. At the full-service spa you can take the opportunity for some full on pampering in a cabana by the pool or with your partner for double relaxation. To complete your look and feel good programme, visit the fitness centre. Here as well as using the state-of-the-art equipment you can take a class in one of the many disciplines on offer, from relaxing yoga to calorie burning indoor cycling and street jazz dancing.
A few lengths in the lap pool should keep up the regime, but also keep you cool in all senses.
If you need other active distractions the resort offers eco and kayaking tours on the lakes as well as bird watching and nature trail experiences. There are also fly and spin fishing opportunities too.
Dining…
There are no less than 9 dining establishments here, offering a great variety of choices. It’s all about fine dining at the award winning NORMANS, great steaks at The Vineyard Grill and you can be sure of good, fresh Italian cuisine at Primo. You’ll find quintessentially American offerings all day at Citron and the self-explanatory Japanese delicacies at Sushi. Savour light bites, afternoon tea and cocktails in the Lobby Lounge, all your poolside needs from iced drinks to burgers at Bleu, healthy options at Vitale, the Spa Café and a special to-go menu for golfers as well as beers and more at the Fairways Pub.
On Saturday and Sunday afternoons you can indulge in family tea in the Lobby Lounge from 2pm–4pm. There are 3 options: Peter Rabbit Tea for the children, Traditional Tea or a Royal Tea which includes a glass of champagne (advance reservations recommended).
For kids…
The kids won’t even miss Mickey as there is so much to do in resort. The little ones will love the playground and wading pool or the many programmes on offer for them.
The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes has a full Ritz Kids programme (additional fee) to keep 5–12 year olds occupied having fun every afternoon. Activities include swimming and pool games, arts and crafts, obstacle courses and relay races, Surrey bike rides and much more. They can also take part in Kids’ Night Out (additional fee) with a complimentary dinner, so that you can escape for an adult supper.
There are also a number of general activities that kids can enjoy such as the daily activities at the pool, fish feeding or lady bug release at the Lakeside Terrace. There are Bocce Ball courts and a butterfly garden to visit. There is also a self-guided nature walk with a map provided by concierge.
