The Westin Beach Resort & Spa, formerly the Sheraton Yankee Trader, lies across the street from miles of golden-sand beach, and is four blocks from a row of oceanfront cafés; downtown Fort Lauderdale is two miles away. A skybridge reaches from the hotel’s second-floor sundeck, with palm trees and an ocean view, across the street to the beach; another pool is more secluded and quiet.

On the South Tower's ground floor, a secluded, 50-by-25-foot garden pool offers peaceful sunbathing.
