Orlando Attractions.
Apart from the top attraction, Walt Disney World which is for most people, there is SeaWorld Orlando, which is the worlds most popular marine life park. The park has lots of opportunities get up-close to and learn about the fascinating marine life, including Rays, Manatees, Sharks and of course the stunning Shamu show, Believe! Plus, there’s a host of rides for the whole family, including Kraken, Orlando’s tallest and only floorless coaster and Shamu Express, the family rollercoaster!
Next to SeaWorld Orlando is Discovery Cove, it’s the only place in Orlando where you can swim with dolphins.
Ensure that you book well in advance, as this reservations-only attraction limits admission to just 1000 guests a day. The park offers the chance to swim and play with a beautiful Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, snorkel with tropical fish and rays, feed and interact with tropical birds and relax on white sand beaches. Plus, all Discovery Cove Packages include a continental breakfast, sumptuous buffet lunch, all drinks and snacks throughout the day.
On to Kissimmee, Gatorland on the Orange Blossom Trail Nr Kissimmee has some
pretty entertaining shows. How about The Gator Jumoparoo or Gator Wrestling?
There are also Florida Snakes on view but only if you want to see them so
don’t worry!
Disney’s Blizzard Beach on Buena Vista Drive has the fastest ski jump
slide in the world. This exhilarating attraction is full of chutes and slides
you will want to dare to try, and you will feel great after you’ve zipped
down those slides.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum on International Drive is in a wonky
building. And see Wonderworks in an upside down house. Also there is The
Haunted House. The Skull Kingdom is a haunted mansion built to look like a
castle with a skull peering out from the front.
Universal Orlando is the rival to Disney’s MGM with good reason. It
has excellent tours which are a far cry from walking round a back lot. You are
shown fantastic special effects equipment and how it works, studios where
familiar TV programmes and series are made as well as new feature films.
Also on The Universal Theme Park Site is the Islands Of Adventure Theme Park
which has mind blowing roller coaster rides superior to Disney.
Walt Disney World is the main draw, with all it’s theme parks,
attractions and events. There is also Disney’s World Of Sports two miles
East of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Catch a boat to Disney’s own
castaway island Castaway Cay. Separate entertainment areas are provided for
children.
