Located on Bay Lake, the Resort has its own marina, where guests can rent sailboats and pontoon boats, or enjoy fishing excursions, parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. There are also two outdoor pools on site—including one in the shape of Mickey’s ears—as well as spa tubs, a playground, and an arcade.With the spires of Cinderella Castle in view, this A-frame resort offers theme-park transportation and a marina with lots of water sports.
Guests at Disney’s Contemporary Resort can take advantage of the Extra Magic Hour for an extra hour of “magic” each day: Each day one of Disney’s four major theme parks opens an hour early, exclusively for resort guests. Guests should check with guest services to learn which park is offering the Extra Magic Hour on any given day. Those who wish to take advantage must present valid theme-park tickets and resort ID.
Resort guests can take advantage of the complimentary motor coach transportation throughout the resort.

Located on Bay Lake, the resort has a small sandy beach and its own marina that rents sailboats, Hobie cats, and pontoon boats. Fishing excursions can be arranged, and additional water sports include parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and tubing (surcharge applies for all water-sports rentals).
The hotel’s main outdoor pool is created in the shape of Mickey’s ears and overlooks the bay; there is also a second pool, an additional children’s pool, and a spa tub. Six clay tennis courts and sand volleyball courts are available, and the fitness center has Cybex and cardiovascular equipment as well as a dry sauna. A playground, interactive water fountains, and game arcade are also provided.
The 36-hole Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park are both six miles from the resort via complimentary Disney transportation. The resort’s guest service desk can assist with reservations on any one of Disney’s five PGA tour–caliber golf courses, all located on Walt Disney World Resort property. A 9-hole walking course is also available.
Dining:
Chef Mickey’s Restaurant - Located on the fourth floor of the resort, this large restaurant offers breakfast and dinner buffets with Disney characters as special guests. Dinner buffets include prime rib, peel-and-eat shrimp, and daily specials while breakfast buffets consist of fresh fruit, bagels, omelets, Mickey waffles, and more. Priority seating is recommended.
