Shopping in Orlando can be an all day activity – the expansive shopping malls come fully equipped with outdoor areas, salons, bars and restaurants. What's more, this is the home of outlet shopping – if you want to pick up some big brand names at discounted prices this is the place to be.
Orlando's International Drive is an 11 mile road which has been famed for being an entertainment hub for many, many years. The latest development to the area is the ultra modern I-Drive 360, home to the Orlando Eye, a 400ft giant Ferris wheel which offers splendid views over the whole city. The area also has attractions including Sea Life, Madame Tussauds and a selections of restaurants and bars.
Orlando is one of the largest golfing destinations in the world, with more than 170 courses to choose from. Many of the most popular villa communities and hotel resorts have award winning golf courses on-site so getting some tee time in should be a breeze. If golf isn't your thing, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy a bit of nature, between the airboat rides and nature reserves you're never far away from some open green space.
One of the allures of Naples is how close everything is. It's one of the few places in Florida where you can easily go from your hotel into town for a spot of shopping of dinner, or head down to the beach without having to start up your car.
Naples beach is a picture perfect paradise which has become a favourite romantic spot for couples and honeymooners. Wherever you choose to stay, you won't be too far from the beach, with many properties located right on the coast with private beaches. There are also ample opportunities to head out to sea and explore some of the islands dotted along the coast.
Naples has five distinctive shopping areas offering everything from high end boutiques to family-favourite shops. 5th Avenue is a glorious outdoor shopping mall with a collection of unique shops and high end brands. For something a little funkier, try Mercato another outdoor shopping centre where you're bound to find something unique.
Naples has great opportunities to enjoy nature. Firstly, there's the NGALA Wildlife Preserve, home to rescued animals including giraffes, zebras and big cats, Head to Rookery Bay National Reserve, a 110,00 acre area with lovely walking trails an art gallery and natural shop. Then there's Naples Botanical Garden, a gardeners paradise home to plants from all over the world, walking trails and a butterfly garden.
