Matheson Hammock Park

Matheson Hammock Park is a lovely scenic park, spanning 630 acres. An unusual feature can be found in this park is a man-made atoll pool, which is flushed naturally with the tidal action of nearby Biscayne Bay. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

The first undersea park in the U.S. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park encompasses approximately 70 nautical square miles. The area was established to protect a portion of the only living coral reef in the United States. Canoeing and kayaking through the park's waters are popular activities. Visitors can enjoy a walk, picnic, or swim. The park contains a wide variety of tropical vegetation, shore birds and marine life. Smathers Beach

Smathers Beach is the largest in Key West, full of vast plains of white sands. Pull up a lounger and soak in the rays as you relax to the scenic vistas of the Gulf. According to the locals, this is the place to experience a phenomenal view of the sunset, a must-do if you’ve already enjoyed Mallory Square’s Sunset Celebration. Dry Tortugas National Park

Dedicate a day to sailing 70 miles west of Key West to the Dry Tortugas National Park, a collection of small islands, remote from any other main bodies of land.
