It’s constantly evolving so it can always be the top destination for providing the ultimate family holiday experience. Walt Disney World Resort

Star Wars – Secrets of the Empire

It’s no secret now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open its doors late 2019, but there’s some more Star Wars goodness to whet your appetite. This year, Star Wars – Secrets of the Empire came to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, offering an amazingly unique experience to the resort’s huge number of attractions.

Grab a VR set and go undercover in an Empire HQ on the magma-addled lava planet of Mustafar. The Rebellion will send you in to sully the enemies plan in a high-octane covert op that’ll completely immerse you in the Star Wars world.
Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land has had a snake in our boot since it was announced years ago! Toy Story Land takes Disney•Pixar’s most loved movie series and plonks it right in the centre of Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll be encouraged to ‘play big’ in a space which shrinks you down to the size of a toy, since everything around you will be humungous compared.

The new land features new attractions such as the roller coaster Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania! You’ll also find a new themed restaurant, Woodys Lunch Box, new character experiences with all your favourite Toy Story Characters, and entertainment like the Green Army Drum Corps.

Florida Keys

If you’re looking for complete tranquillity during your holiday then you’ll want to head to the Florida Keys! Getaway from the hustle and bustle of Florida’s mainland and escape to these beautiful isles, home to these brilliant attractions.
Southernmost Pointe Buoy

Although not exactly a new attraction, Key West’s Southernmost Point Buoy has received a fabulous makeover. A new lick of paint is exactly what was needed after being defaced by treacherous weather last year and is now looking better than ever!

The Southernmost Point Buoy is the most southern point of North America, marking its distance to nearby countries. Stand at a point just 90-miles away from Cuba, admiring the gorgeous waters surrounding, a phenomenal sight to see if you’re visiting the Florida Keys.
Turtle Hospital

If you have a little soft spot for turtles and find yourself in Marathon Key then you’ll want to catch these little guys having a great time! Check out these awesome dudes loving life in this fantastic turtle rehabilitation centre. The hospital rehabilitates turtles who have had a calamity at sea, and nurses them back to health so they’re ready to be released into the wild again. Although it’s not necessarily a new attraction, it’s an old favourite which should be on your radar.

Tampa

Tigris – Busch Gardens

Hold on to your hat! Busch Gardens brings you the brand-new Tigris rollercoaster which sees you throttled into a crazy ride of thrills. Launch into loops and spirals as you hold onto your seat in this super-fast paced coaster that’ll have you stoked.

St. Pete

Growing Food Scene

St. Pete has a wild and vibrant food scene with lots of new concepts opening up all the time. From seafood to Asian fusion and pizza, there’s something for all palates. With more than 400 awards, eight cookbooks and TV appearances, one of the most talked about new restaurants is Dr. BBQ. Here, you can feast on traditional American BBQ fare, fused with local flavours. Another is Trophy fish which champions fresh fish caught daily, plus it has a whole menu of nautical inspired cocktails – delicious! There are heaps more restaurants to try out, allowing you to feast your way along the coast.
