United flies nonstop from London Heathrow to Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington D.C; from Edinburgh to Chicago and New York/Newark and from Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow to New York/Newark.

United Economy Plus®

Stretch out with extra legroom when you upgrade to United Economy Plus. Enjoy all the benefits and services of Economy, but with extra space and added comfort. Economy Plus seats have up to six inches of additional legroom providing a total of up to 37 inches of legroom. Economy Plus seats are located towards the front of the Economy cabin, allowing a swifter exit on arrival.

United Polaris Business Class

With the aspiration of making weary business travel a relic of the past, United unveiled its all-new United Polaris business class, the airline's most significant product transformation in more than a decade, featuring a reimagined, sleep-enhancing, departure-to-landing experience for travellers. The brand-new United Polaris business class service is designed to bring a new level of quality to every aspect of premium cabin travel — from lounge to landing — and provide the best sleep in the sky. United began to introduce United Polaris on Dec. 1, 2016, with the new inflight food and beverage experience, new custom bedding from Saks Fifth Avenue, new amenity kits and the new United Polaris lounge in Chicago.

United App

The United app for mobile devices streamlines your travel experience and provides United travel services all in one convenient place. The app allows you to not only book and check in for flights, select seats and view MileagePlus® account information, it also acts as a platform for Wi-Fi personal device entertainment. The United app is available on Apple iOS, Google Android, MacBook, Windows Laptops and Kindles.

United Wi-Fi

Stay connected, even at 36,000 feet. United has installed global satellite based Wi-Fi on its entire fleet, with 100% of mainline aircraft equipped. This service offers complimentary on-demand programming from a library of more than 150 movies and nearly 200 television shows streamed direct to your device through the United App. Full Wi-Fi access is also available for purchase during the flight.

Baggage allowance

Each passenger is entitled to one carry-on bag plus one personal item such as a handbag or laptop case. Carry-on bags must be no larger than 22cm x 35cm x 56cm and personal items must be smaller than or equal to 22cm x 25cm x 43cm.
Standard baggage allowance: 1 x 23kg bag
Business & First Class baggage allowance: 3 x 32kg bags
