Think you know SeaWorld?
‘SeaWorld’ is more than just one park and comprises four major attractions in both
Orlando and
Tampa: SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove. That means how many days you allocate to SeaWorld adventures needs extra attention.
You can either opt for single-day tickets to each park or the much more popular—and cost-effective—three-visit park ticket, which includes all-day dining and return shuttle transfers to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The Ultimate 3-visit ticket also includes free parking and multiple park entry across a 14-day trip. Discovery Cove features its own ticket deals that include dolphin swims and multi-park entry, too.
So, here’s a tailored itinerary for every ticket type to help you dive into the action, and make the most of every moment…
1-Day Suggested Itinerary
SeaWorld Orlando
Depending on your priorities—rides, nature activities or both—your day at
SeaWorld Orlando may involve different experiences. Thrill-seekers will want to make a beeline for the park’s incredible rollercoasters first, which include Mako, Manta, Kraken, and Ice Breaker. And to cool off, head for the rapids, drops, and splashes of Infinity Falls and Journey to Atlantis. Top tip: purchase the Quick Queue Unlimited pass to skip the lines and tick off as many rides as possible during your day!
Gentler, family-friendly experiences for the animal lovers and younger kids include the excellent Orca Encounter and Dolphin Adventures shows. And if you're looking to slow things down between the thrills, take in breathtaking views from the iconic Sky Tower, chill out with the adorable residents of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, or enjoy a peaceful cruise on the Flamingo Paddle Boats for some relaxing connection with nature and marine life.
Aquatica
Orlando’s top water park is the perfect place to spend your time in that famous Florida heat. Aquatica boasts a mix of action and relaxation, from the colossal slides, twists and adrenaline-fuelled plunges of KareKare Curl, Taumata Racer, and Ihu’s Breakaway Falls to the chilled-out vibes of Loggerhead Lane’s lazy river and the soothing sands and sparkling wave pools at Cutback Cove & Big Surf.
Kids have their own 15,000 sq. ft splash park, Walkabout Waters, to splash around in, plus a range of smaller slides like Whanau Way and Turi’s Kid Cove! Your day here can be as action-packed or restful as you wish, providing the perfect chillout and cool-down spot for those hot days!
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay
It will take you a little over 90 minutes to drive from Orlando to Tampa, so if you’re planning a one-day visit, head off early to make the most of your time there.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is home to some of Florida’s wildest rides including legacy roller coasters like Kumba and SheiKra, and more recent additions like Serengeti Flyer and Tigris. The all-new Phoenix Rising is due to launch this summer on 21st July 2025 and is set to become another popular attraction at this action-packed theme park.
With a marvellous mix of family fun, white-knuckle excitement, animal interactions, and water-soaked joy, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is the ultimate place for a day out for the whole family!
Discovery Cove
A day in the all-inclusive
Discovery Cove is a day of exclusive luxury and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast to begin with, and if you’ve booked a Dolphin Swim Package, go for your up-close interaction in the crystal-clear waters of Dolphin Lagoon and let the resort’s professional photographers capture the moment.
Next, swim and snorkel in The Grand Reef with thousands of tropical fish and rays before a dip in the Freshwater Oasis with playful otters and cute marmosets. Back on dry land, you can explore the blushed beauties at Flamingo Point, feed hundreds of exotic birds in Explorer’s Aviary, and pepper in some amazing encounters at one of the park’s Animal Connection locations.
After a delicious complimentary lunch, spend the afternoon gliding along the Wind-Away River and lazing on the beach at Serenity Bay for a truly relaxing experience - and don’t forget to make the most of the unlimited snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and selected beer and wine available.
2-3-Day Suggested Itinerary
Extending your park visits and spreading them out over two or three days allows for more time to do the things you love, including checking out the latest and greatest rides! No trip to Orlando will be complete without a visit to one of its OG parks: SeaWorld Orlando, which is conveniently located right across the street from Aquatica. If your hotel accommodation is nearby, you can maximise your time and visit both parks consecutively with minimal travel.
As Busch Gardens Tampa Bay can be ticked off in a day if you’re visiting from Orlando, you could easily fit this in with a day at one of the other
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment attractions too. Consider a fun day in Tampa followed by a lazy day at your hotel or villa, then across to Discovery Cove for your all-inclusive luxury on the third day.
4-5-Day Suggested Itinerary
With a restful day in between, you can still easily fit in all four parks: SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica, Discovery Cove and Busch Gardens over a five-day stint, and with your Ultimate 3-Park Ticket, you’ll have the freedom and flexibility to plan your days accordingly. Good-weather days are great for relaxing on the beach at Discovery Cove, zipping down the refreshing water slides at Aquatica or being soaked by a cheeky sea lion at SeaWorld Orlando.
If big roller coasters are in your sights, head for the
Gulf Coast and enjoy a night in Tampa and visit Busch Gardens Tampa Bay two days in a row. Return to Orlando ready to take on the watery, refreshing fun at SeaWorld Orlando or Aquatica and consider staying at the Doubletree by Hilton or the Renaissance Orlando to for an extra splash of convenience and luxury.
