A great cruise has everything you love about holidays. Entertainment, relaxation, destinations. Yet more of them, always within reach.

Royal Caribbean's New Cruise Ship, Star of the Seas, delivers on this promise – and then some.

Imagine waking up to the sound of the sea, sunlight pouring through your balcony doors, and the knowledge that you have another exciting day aboard an entire floating resort at your fingertips. From the moment you step onboard Star of the Seas, Royal Caribbean's newest and most innovative cruise ship, you're immersed in a world built for fun, adventure, and memory-making with the people who matter most.

Launching in August 2025, Star of the Seas is the second ship in the Icon Class and a next-level holiday experience for families looking for endless fun and adventure. Departing from Port Canaveral in Florida, the ship sails 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean routes. All cruises aboard include an unforgettable stop at the action-packed Perfect Day at CocoCay. But the destinations are only half the story. You’ll probably experience most of the fun onboard!

Built for Thrills

If your family thrives on action, Star of the Seas will deliver from day one.

At the heart of the excitement is Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea. It’s packed with six record-breaking slides, including a high-speed mat racer and a family raft ride where you can all scream together.

For something even more daring, try Crown’s Edge, part skywalk, part ropes course, and part free-fall experience. Suspended over the ocean, it’s as exhilarating (and terrifying) as it sounds.

For younger cruisers, Surfside is a dedicated family neighbourhood where everything is within reach. There’s a vibrant carousel, splash zones, mini climbing areas, and The Lemon Post, a bar that serves both cocktails for grown-ups and mocktails for little ones. It’s the perfect place to enjoy some downtime without ever feeling like you’re missing out.

Eat Your Way Around the World (Without Leaving the Ship)

Food on Star of the Seas is all part of the adventure. With more than 40 dining options and bars to explore, there is something new to try each day (could there ever be a cruise long enough?!)

The AquaDome Market is a game changer. This stylish food hall offers global flavours under one roof, from Asian street noodles to Caribbean-inspired barbecue and vibrant Mediterranean plates.
Family eating at Basecamp

Families will love the flexibility of casual venues like Windjammer Café, Basecamp, and Park Café, where everyone can pick what they like and head straight back to the fun. You can even grab treats by the pool, including ice cream, pastries, and savoury snacks to keep energy levels high.

For a grown-up evening, Lincoln Park Supper Club combines fine dining with live jazz and art deco flair. It’s the kind of place that feels like stepping into a different era. Book in advance and savour a multi-course menu with a touch of bold 1930s Chicago glamour.

The West End Meets the Caribbean

The entertainment options on this ship are designed to wow every generation.

Big-ticket shows include Back to the Future: The Musical, where the beloved film gets a Broadway-style twist complete with time-travelling theatrics and familiar one-liners.

The AquaTheater presents Pirates & Mermaids, a high-energy spectacle that blends dance, diving, and storytelling beneath the stars.

Meanwhile, Absolute Zero, the onboard ice arena, hosts Olympic-level skating shows surrounded by cutting-edge lighting and sound. It’s cool in every sense of the word.

Music lovers can enjoy everything from duelling piano performances to smooth jazz at Lou’s Jazz ‘n Blues, while karaoke nights and trivia games are on offer for those who like to put themselves front and centre in the spotlight.

Home Away from Home

Cabins and suites on Star of the Seas are designed with real families in mind.

Choose from Infinite Balcony staterooms, where the touch of a button transforms your window into open sea views, or book a Surfside Family Suite, located near the family activity zones for ultimate convenience.
Surfside Family Suites

Need more room? The Ultimate Family Townhouse is a jaw-dropper. It features multiple stories, a private cinema, a slide between floors, and even its own front door and mailbox (would you even want to leave your room?!)

For luxury seekers, the Grove Suite Sun Deck provides a peaceful escape with exclusive pools, a private bar, and al fresco dining with panoramic views.

Explore the Caribbean in Style

When you’re not enjoying the ship, your journey will take you to some of the Caribbean’s most picturesque and adventure-filled destinations.

A standout highlight is Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island experience in The Bahamas. Here you’ll find the tallest waterslide in the Caribbean, a massive freshwater pool, overwater cabanas, a zip line that flies across the island, and peaceful stretches of beach where you can relax in the shade or snorkel in crystal-clear water.

Depending on your chosen itinerary, you may also visit sun-drenched ports like Roatan, Cozumel, or Puerto Costa Maya, each offering its own unique flavour of Caribbean culture, excursions and natural beauty. From colourful coral reefs to local street food and historic towns, these stops add extra layers of discovery to your cruise.

While Royal Beach Club: Paradise Island is set to open later in 2025, it won’t feature on the earliest Star of the Seas sailings. It’s one to watch for future adventures if you’re planning ahead.

Plan Your Royal Adventure

Star of the Seas isn’t just another cruise ship. It’s a floating world where you can dive into action, indulge in amazing food, discover award-winning shows, and reconnect with your family in the best way possible. It’s where busy mornings become relaxing afternoons, and bedtime stories might be followed by a surprise chocolate on your pillow.
