Universal Orlando Resort is a hub of activity and excitement. Each year there are lots of new things happening from a fresh hotel opening with fantastic family suites to brand-new rides to experience. With lots on the horizon, we’ve got the scoop on everywhere you should visit on your next trip, including the first taste of Universal CityWalks Bigfire restaurant.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™

Brand new to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ - Hogsmeade™, is a thrilling, innovative rollercoaster which will knock your socks off (sorry Dobby!). Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure boasts lots of ground-breaking elements including a free-fall vertical drop of up to 17ft, and seven launches, the most of any rollercoaster in the world. Rollercoaster enthusiasts will make a beeline for this ride, as well as Potter fans who will get to spot lots of magical creatures, and even the famous blue Ford Anglia from the Chamber of Secrets along the track.

Riders can choose to sit on the motorbike like Hagrid or in the sidecar, just as Harry did. Journey beyond Hogwarts™ castle, past Hagrid’s hut and into centuries-old ruins where the Care of Magical Creatures class officially begins. Hold on tight, it’s definitely going to be a bumpy ride!

Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites

Ride the waves at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Surfside Inn and Suites, Universals first Value property. Having recently opened its doors in June 2019, this lovely, fresh hotel will make your family holiday even more affordable. The hotel features a cool surf theme throughout and offers a chilled, free-spirited vibe. Ideal for families of any size, suites feature two spacious bedrooms, sleeping up to six people. What’s more, it includes all the exclusive benefits of staying at a Universal hotel including Early Park Admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and Universal’s Volcano Bay. Plus, complimentary transport to Universal’s theme parks and Universal CityWalk.

Boasting a fantastic location near International Drive, not only will your family have access to all the Universal restaurants, they’ll have even more choice from Orlando’s famous 10-mile ‘Strip’. A sister hotel Dockside Inn and Suites will be opening in March 2020 to complement this fantastic resort.

Big Fire Restaurant

Hungry? If you’re not, you’re going to be when you see the menu for Bigfire, Universal CityWalk’s newest restaurant. This bold, new eatery combines modern cuisine with the nostalgia of open-fire cooking. Think campfire vibes as you choose all-American classics steaks, burgers, and freshwater seafood, each dish benefitting from a carefully selected wood to enhance the flavour. Bigfire gives respect to an all-time open fire classic, s’mores, which are made with graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows. Best of all, you can toast your marshmallows at your table with the help of a mini fire burner.

Bigfire joins a whole host of other restaurants, bars and shops in CityWalk. Visit at the start your evening and be sure to enjoy a drink or two in front of the firepit by the entrance of the restaurant.
