Sometimes we all just need those little home comforts, even while living it up in the Sunshine State. So, if you find yourself in Orlando craving a taste of British tradition, fear not. Though renowned for its theme parks, Orlando is also wild ride for your taste buds and offers several spots where you can enjoy an authentic English breakfast, or indulge in a spot of afternoon tea.

Whether you're looking to fuel up with a hearty fry-up or enjoy a delicate selection of sandwiches and scones, these venues bring a touch of the UK to the Sunshine State…

Bubble & Co. Tea Bar

Known for its bubble tea bar and photogenic menu, this is a great spot if you’re looking for a bit of a twist on traditional afternoon tea. Sip on a wide variety of boba milk teas and gourmet coffees in a welcoming and cozy interior. And if you’re in the market for a little something to feast on, the bubble waffles will also go down a treat. Whether you’re in the mood for classic chocolate and strawberries or wanting to venture outside of the norm with their mochi base, there is something for everyone. Bubble & Co. Tea bar is a gem for tea lovers in the Sunshine State.

World Café

You know you’ve hit the jackpot when an English breakfast features on the company’s Facebook picture. International Drive’s World Café is a great spot to fuel up for a day at the parks with their tasty offerings of all the staples, like eggs, sausages, bacon, and beans. And if you want to add that extra touch of your homeland, why not opt for a warming cup of PG Tips also. This spot is very much reminiscent of an English café, except that when you leave, you’ll be greeted by glorious sunshine. What could be better?

The Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea at The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers

How about a spot of tea and scones at the Happiest Place on Earth? That’s right, Walt Disney World has its very own take on this British tradition, and it couldn’t be better. An opulent spot in Disney’s boardwalk, The Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea typically includes a selection of teas, served alongside classic treats like scones with clotted cream and jam, finger sandwiches, and beautifully crafted pastries and cakes. If you're looking to enjoy a truly elegant and indulgent afternoon tea experience, why not opt for a signature cocktail or a glass of The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant's Rosé Bubbles.

Afternoon tea at The Ritz-Carlton

For a luxurious afternoon tea, look no further than The Ritz-Carlton. Nestled in the upscale area of Grande Lakes, this elegant hotel offers an exceptional tea service that transports you straight to the British Isles. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of loose-leaf teas, including Earl Grey and Darjeeling, paired with freshly baked scones, clotted cream, jam, delicate finger sandwiches, and an assortment of pastries. The tranquil setting and impeccable service make this an experience worth every penny. So, if you’ve got some extra cash to splash, we definitely recommend this one.

Titanic Tea Room Experience at Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition

Transport yourself to 1912 for an afternoon tea to remember onboard the Titanic. Running select Saturdays at 12.30pm, it replicates teatime in first class and serves a three-course spectacular including finger sandwiches, scones with a range of spreads, and mouth-watering desserts such as French macarons and Dulce de Leche Mousse and Meringue. If you're looking to enjoy an afternoon tea in Orlando, the Titanic Tea Room Experience at Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition offers a memorable experience that goes beyond just food and drink. With its historical setting, attentive service, and delicious offerings, it’s an ideal place for both tea enthusiasts and history buffs alike. It’s not every day you get to sip tea aboard a virtual Titanic, after all!

Denny’s

Searching for a nice blend of home comforts with an American diner setting? Denny’s is the place to be. This iconic U.S. breakfast spot will give you a taste of home with their array of tasty fried options. Tuck into their Great British Slam where you’ll be greeted with all the favourites – fried eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushroom, beans, and a slice of toast. There are several locations throughout Orlando and it’s a smart choice if you’re after somewhere a bit more wallet friendly. But don’t worry, it may be a cheaper option, but it certainly doesn’t skimp on quality.

Bob Evans

Bob Evans is known for its comfort food, and their breakfasts are no exception. If you’re in the mood for a warm, comforting meal, you can’t go wrong with their Farmhouse Breakfasts, which feature a classic combination of eggs, hash browns, toast, and your choice of meat. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, high-quality ingredients, and many of their items are made from scratch. Compared to many other breakfast spots, Bob Evans offers an affordable menu without compromising on taste or portion size. This makes it a budget-friendly option for a hearty start to the day.

Orlando Cat Café

Missing your afternoon tea and your cat? Then Orlando Cat Café is the perfect solution. Come here for a range of delicious delicacies while being surrounded by feline friends. The first of its kind to open in Central Florida, it allows visitors to enjoy a tea or coffee and cake, as well as the antics of some of the cutest cats in town. Because it’s a popular spot, especially on weekends, it’s a good idea to book your reservation in advance if you want to ensure a spot, as the cat area has a limit to how many people can be inside at once. There is also a small entry fee to spend time with the cats, which helps support the café and the adoption process.
