Step foot on a tropical island like never before. An island where the sun shines high in the sky, the sea laps against the warm, powdery sand, and palm trees sway slightly with the ocean breeze. This paradisiacal place is Disney Castaway Cay and not only is it a feast for the eyes, it’s also jam-packed with adventure. This private island is reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line Guests on Bahamian and Caribbean cruises.

What can you do on Disney Castaway Cay?

Whether you want to relax on the beach and take in the gorgeous scenery or get stuck into the action, there’s something for all members of the family to experience.

Families:


Bike Rentals



Rent a bike and explore the island at your own pace. Your two-wheeled adventure will take you through all sorts of tropical terrain as you navigate around one of two nature trails. Be sure to stop at the observation tower for panoramic views of the lush surroundings.

Stingray Adventure



Get up close to friendly stingrays where you’ll be invited to feed, touch and snorkel with them. See as they take the food from the palm of your hand and give them a little stroke as they swim past.

Snorkelling Lagoon



Spend the day underwater in the Disney Castaway Cay lagoon. Enjoy all-day access to snorkel gear and make waves amid 22-acres snorkelling trails, suitable for novices and the more experienced. Look out for hidden underwater surprises as you snorkel further into the lagoon.

Beach Fun



Challenge each other to a few games of volleyball, tetherball or football on Sports Beach or simply rent a family cabana and build sandcastles.

Adults:


Serenity Bay



Escape to a calm and tranquil place where you can truly feel like Robinson Crusoe. Serenity Bay is exclusively for adults and boasts soft, golden sands and stunning views. Rent a private cabana or enjoy an open-air massage beneath the palm trees.

Dining

When hunger strikes, visit Air Bar BBQ serving up hearty food without having to leave Serenity Bay. Dine on delicious food set in the most luscious surroundings. If you need a refreshing cocktail, head to Castaway Air Bar which specialises in frozen drinks.

She Sells Sea Shells… and Everything Else!

Souvenirs, beachwear, hats and more can be found in She Sell Sea Shells… and Everything Else! Treat yourself to something new and charge your purchases directly to your stateroom using your Key to the World card. You can even have it delivered to the ship, so you don’t have to lift a finger.

Kids:


Spring-a-Leak 

The little ones will enjoy cooling off from the heat at Spring-a-Leak, a 2,400ft2 water play area. This area has been crafted to look like a washed-away beach dwelling with broken plumbing and dripping pipes. Discover shooting water jets under the cover of a giant sail, providing shade to the little guests underneath.

Pelican Plunge



Pelican Plunge is a 2,400ft2 floating platform is festooned with a nautical theme and features two twisting waterslides which will shoot older kids and teens into the lagoon. The “bucket dump” will drench anyone who stands beneath it, as it will tip hundreds of gallons of refreshing water over anything that gets in its way.

Teen Hideout



Teens between the ages of 13-17 can enjoy their very own slice of paradise. The Teen Hideout is the place where they can hang out with friends and lounge carefree.

Scuttles Cove

Supervised by Disney youth Co-ordinators from the cruise ship, kids between 3-12 can go off to play in the expansive children’s play area. They’ll enjoy organised activities, have the chance to visit Monstro’s Point, a giant whale-bone excavation site and a whimsical wet deck spanning 1,200ft2.
