Sprinkle in a little spice to your next Orlando trip and book a stay at the fabulous Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Located within the Animal Kingdom area, this lakeside oasis is inspired by Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American culture throughout.

From its diverse dining options and themed pools to its captivating artwork and architecture, this popular resort has been a Walt Disney World mainstay since 1997 and remains as beautiful as ever…

History of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

As a Moderate Resort, Disney’s Coronado Springs blends the best of both the Value and Deluxe Resorts, offering an affordable yet upscale option for an epic Disney getaway. The Resort was built in 1997 and is popular with families, couples, and business travellers due to its huge convention centre and ballroom. Set around a glittering 15-acre lake, Lago Dorado, the Resort boasts over 1,900 rooms and suites dotted around three villages and the newly built, 15-storey Gran Destino Tower, which opened in 2019.

Check-in Information

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am. If you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready, you can still enjoy many of the Resort’s amenities—including the pools—by using the Direct-to-Room service where you can use your MagicBand or the Unlock Door feature on the My Disney Experience app. You can also keep using the Resort hotel facilities for the rest of the day, even after you check out.

You don’t need to stop by the front desk when you check out either. If you have a credit card on file—or have a zero-dollar balance—then you can check out via the My Disney Experience App.

Room Options

There are several room types at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, located within the original Village buildings or the newest addition, the Gran Destino Tower. All rooms and suites have views overlooking the lake, pools, landscaped gardens, courtyard, or parking lots.

Standard Rooms in the Village feature all the modern comforts you’ll need and either one king- or two queen-size beds. The slightly larger one- and two-bedroom suites—Casitas, Ranchos, and Cabanas—are also available and sit amid pretty plazas, shady squares and sparkling fountains in a distinctly Spanish style.

Accommodations in the Gran Destino Tower are kitted out with the usual mod cons including free Wi-Fi, TV, hairdryer, coffeemaker and in-room safe. Resort View and Water View rooms are the standard, and the Club Access rooms boast exclusive entry to the club-level lounge and health club alongside access to Disney Signature Services.
