A Disney Cruise may sound as though it does as it says it says on the tin, but there’s so much more to it! A Disney Cruise is unlike any other cruise holiday. You’ll find a ship sprinkled with Disney magic, with character appearances, family-orientated activities, plus a whole deck dedicated to adults. There’s a whole host of other exciting surprises too, which blows all other cruise lines out of the water.

Disney is in All the Right Places

Obviously, you’ll be given plenty of opportunities to meet characters and take part in a load of Disney related activities. But if theres any time where youre not aching to encounter the characters or the general magic of Disney, then these ships have exactly the remedy for that. If you want to indulge purely in the luxuries that come with a typical cruise, then there are a load of adult-only areas for mums, dads, aunties and uncles to get their fix of peace and quiet. In these areas, you will only find lightly themed facilities which have an age-appropriate demeanour, meaning that youll find the amazing Disney magic in all the right places.

A Disney Cruise is Not Just for Kids

When you’re onboard a Disney Cruise ship there are so many opportunities for a good time, no matter what age you are. Watch first-run movies, go wine-tasting, watch Broadway-standard live performances, and enjoy an array of exciting activities. But it’s not all family-friendly, as there’s also plenty of things to do just for adults. Older guests can enjoy an array of nightlife from traditional pubs, champagne bars, and out-and-out clubs, as well as other activities like spa treatments. Disney Cruise Line even operate a ‘Dine and Play’ service which lets you dine with the kids throughout your appetizers, and enjoy more of a date-night atmosphere when the cruise staff escort the kids to one of several kids clubs. The kids clubs are usually open between 8:30 am all the way up to midnight, so the kids can have a whale of a time while the adults enjoy all the delights which come with a cruise.

Being a Disney Cruise, you can expect child-friendly activities to be in abundance. Though there are hundreds of things to do for all ages during your stay on one of these magnificent ships.

Inside State Rooms Have A View Too!

If you like a room with a view but couldn’t swing booking an Oceanview stateroom, then don’t be down! On the newer ships like the Disney Dream and Fantasy, every room has a view to admire thanks to the Inside Staterooms’ Magical Porthole. These portholes project a live video feed of the glorious surroundings the ship is actually passing, thanks to outward facing cameras on board. Better yet, as you float across the seas, the Inside Staterooms occasionally feature some of your favourite Disney characters popping up to say hello! So don’t worry about lacking an ocean view, because an Inside Stateroom offers a view equally, if not, more magical.

Youll Visit Disneys Private Island, Castaway Cay

Did you know that Disney has its very own private island? If you’re looking to embark on a Caribbean cruise then Castaway Cay will be one of your ports of call. Step out onto Walt Disney World’s private paradise. It’s almost like a sandy and sun-soaked extension of the parks, where you can take part in a load of activities. Small children can enjoy the Spring-a-Leak splash park, whereas bigger kids can have some thrills on the Pelican Plunge waterslide. There’s also Scuttle’s Cove, a supervised children’s area which offers a ton of staff-organised activities, perfect for adults to leave the kids for some much-needed downtime. Go for a bike ride, rent a cabana, go snorkelling and enjoy some great water and beach sports during your stay at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Youre bound to be questioning what all the fuss is about on a Disney Cruise Line if youve never been on one before. The answer is that theres a lot to make a fuss over on one of Disneys cruise ships. Not only are there tons to do with the kids as you might expect, but theres also a lot for parents, grandparents uncles and aunties too, all in good measure. So if youre looking at a cruise holiday, dont forget to keep a magical Disney Cruise into consideration!
