What Is TTA Protection?

At Ocean Florida, we chose to become a member of the Travel Trust Association as we wanted to offer the very best protection to our customers. You may have seen the TTA logo on our website, emails and confirmation documents, so we wanted to explain exactly what it is and why it means you can book your holiday with total confidence.

What is the TTA?

The Travel Trust Association exists purely to assist and protect customers as they plan and book their dream holiday. It is a membership organisation made up of a group of Travel Agents – just like us. Each member of the TTA has actively chosen to sign up in order to protect its customers – such as you. The TTA provide peace of mind and security in the travel industry, which is something we all want when we’re planning that holiday of a lifetime.

What happens to my money?
When you pay for your holiday with Ocean Florida, your money is deposited straight into our Trust Account with the TTA. This account is 100% secure and the funds within it are guaranteed by the TTA under their Travel Protection Plan. Every penny of your money and each element of your booking is covered under this plan, from flights to accommodation, attraction tickets, car hire cruise and more.

Is the TTA different to ABTA?
In short. Yes. The TTA covers all elements of your holiday, unlike ABTA. With ABTA, the level of protection varies from booking to booking, so you would need to clarify at the time of booking what was covered and what wasn’t. When you book with Ocean Florida, there is no need to double check and you can be confident that all elements of you holiday are totally covered. This was a key factor in us choosing to become a TTA member.

What if the worst happens?
In the event of your travel company going out of business, the TTA insurance kicks in to ensure that you can still take your holiday. Each one of our customers is insured for up to £11,000 per passenger, so even your travel company was to cease trading, your holiday would continue as planned.
