What shall we do today?' is a question you'll never lack an answer for on Oregon holidays. This is a State with so many places to see and so many fantastic things to do, instead you'll be asking, 'How can we fit it all in?' and 'When can we come again?' Whether you want beaches, mountains, lakes, gorges, quaint towns, vibrant cities or rolling wine county, it's all hereWhat shall we do today?' is a question you'll never lack an answer for on Oregon holidays. This is a State with so many places to see and so many fantastic things to do, instead you'll be asking, 'How can we fit it all in?' and 'When can we come again?' Whether you want beaches, mountains, lakes, gorges, quaint towns, vibrant cities or rolling wine county, it's all here.

The mix of landscapes makes for some dramatic scenery, and Oregon's famous Pacific coast includes everything from rugged cliffs and spray-strewn bluffs, to towering sand dunes and coves full of barking sea lions. Inland you'll find raging rivers and steep gorges with cascading waterfalls, as well as America's deepest lake, plus snowy Mount Hood. Then head further east and you'll reach the dramatic chasm of Hells Canyon, which is deeper than the Grand Canyon.

There's an equally dazzling list of ways to enjoy these natural wonders. Hiking trails snake every which way across the landscape, but there's plenty of scenic driving too - round the rim of Crater Lake for starters. You can chug on a train through the picture-postcard valleys of the Colombia River Gorge, or race dune buggies across the sand at Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Plus there's plenty of watersports, and you can ski all year round on Mount Hood.

When you fancy an urban fix on Oregon holidays, laid-back Portland has superb museums and world-famous gardens, as well as tax-free shopping and dozens of microbreweries. Jacksonville is also worth a visit for its Gold Rush history and nineteenth-century buildings; and charming Cannon Beach has scenic views, galleries, cafés and fine seafood.

The thing they say about Oregon is that it's more of a place you do, than a place you just see. Why don't you find out for yourself
