Magic is back on the menu.

The character dining, the stage shows, the dreamscapes, the themed food, all dripping in nostalgia - Walt Disney World Area restaurants are as epic as ever in 2024.

Find your slice of Disney happiness in this guide, then let us take you back to the fantasy land of fairytales with a personalised holiday package

Oga’s Cantina, Hollywood Studios

When it comes to unique restaurants in Walt Disney World, Oga’s Cantina is the go-to reservation on this side of the galaxy. The famous Star Wars-themed watering hole from A New Hope is where bounty hunters, galactic smugglers and the odd Jedi master hang out. Located in Hollywood Studios, it's ideal for something light to snack on, however, its true appeal is the array of cocktails. Kids may fancy the Jabba Juice, while adults may opt for something a little stronger, like the vodka-based Jedi Mind Trick. It's also important to know that this venue regularly sells out, so it's wise to book your reservation well in advance. "Search your feelings, you know this to be true."

Space 220, Epcot

Staying among the stars, Space 220 also deserves recognition for its out-of-this-world dining experience. Open since 2021, it's one of Epcot’s newest restaurants and simulates a space station 220 miles above the earth. The journey to the restaurant is part of the adventure as you shoot above ground in a digital-screened elevator, watching Epcot shrink below you. And while you’re dining on Centauri Ceasar Salad, Gemini Burger or Galactic Miso Salmon with a side of Space Greens, you can gaze over the starlit galaxy on a realistic rotational screen. Not many restaurants can promise that, and for that reason, Disney has introduced virtual queuing to meet demand - so don't delay booking this reservation either!

Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Nothing is quite like dinner and a great show. At Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue, you are treated to two hours of high-spirited on-stage antics while chomping down on some of the best fried chicken and BBQ ribs on offer. Singing, dancing, and comedy are all the order of the day here. Located in Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, The Pioneer Hall’s atmosphere is electric and like the themed resort takes you back to the days of the American frontier. If you’re seated close to the stage, you may even find yourself being part of the show. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Walt Disney World if you’re looking to be kept entertained as you eat.

‘Ohana, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

‘Ohana means family, and those travelling with little ones  - or simply the young at heart - will love the welcoming vibes and island-style charm of this Polynesian-inspired eatery. You can kickstart your morning with a warm 'Aloha' from Lilo & Stitch while indulging in a delicious Best Friends Breakfast that includes a juicy grilled skillet of scrambled eggs, pork sausages, and fried potatoes alongside Mickey-shaped waffles and biscuits. For the late risers, you’ll get to taste the exotic flavours of the South Pacific amongst vibrant foliage and wooden tikis at dinnertime, with a menu of grilled beef teppanyaki, spicy shrimp, and ‘Ohana noodles. And remember, everything tastes better with Hawaiian hospitality.

Be Our Guest, Magic Kingdom

Indulge in the grandeur and palatial elegance of the exquisite 'Be Our Guest' restaurant, inspired by the timeless tale of Beauty and the Beast. Bask in the opulence of The Grand Ballroom with golden chandeliers, stately marble columns, and giant floor-to-ceiling arched windows looking onto falling snow. Then savour the French-inspired menu, which includes delectable options such as fillet mignon, trout amandine, and escargot - all while feeling refined as royalty. And you’ll want to keep an eye out for The Beast as he mingles between tables, adding to the magical ambience of the restaurant. Bon Appetit!

Sanaa, Animal Kingdom

Escape to one of Disney’s lesser-known gems, infused with African tribal decor and furnishings overlooking Animal Kingdom’s Sunset Savanna. While you admire exotic African wildlife grazing before you, you can feast on Afro and Indian-inspired dishes of potjie - a slow-cooked stew, samosas, and Zanzibar vegetable curry. And with an extensive drinks menu, enjoy refreshing cocktails as you delight in the exotic ambience of wooden carvings and tribal masks. There’s no better place to taste the flavours of Africa right in the heart of Disney.

The Boathouse, Disney Springs

The Boathouse is renowned for its blissful setting. Located beside a beautiful lake, passing boats are your backdrop, as you delve into a wide selection of fresh seafood, hearty steaks, and award-winning burgers. At first, this may seem like only an adult’s paradise, yet there is still plenty to keep the kids satisfied. For example, children can enjoy the Captains Sing Along Brunch on weekends or make a splash in one of their thrilling amphicar tours. After all, the Boathouse is the only place in the world to offer a guided tour in one of these rare land and water vehicles, making it a 'must do' Disney Springs experience.

Rainforest Café, Disney Springs

Transport yourself to exotic jungle surroundings with a trip to Rainforest Café at Disney Springs. Here you can indulge in a tropical feast, including coconut shrimp and cocktails, as Tracy the Talking Tree spouts her wisdom and animals come to life. And be prepared for the thunderstorms - you are in the jungle after all. The loud, fun atmosphere of Rainforest Café has been a hit with families for decades in locations around the world. At Disney Springs, it's hard to miss with its volcano-shaped exterior, and you can even head to the lava lounge for a drink after dinner.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, International Drive

If you’re craving your regular sports fix on holiday, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is calling your name. Featuring a range of televised events, from baseball to basketball, it is the perfect spot to brush up on American sports while tucking into some delicious Louisiana-style fare. The southern classics are all freshly prepared from scratch and are combined with an extensive list of drinks. Plus, if you’re feeling adventurous, alligator is also on the menu. This is one of those 'when in Florida' opportunities to tuck into a local delicacy. Whilst not being located within Walt Disney World Resort, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux is still conveniently located on International Drive.

Taverna Opa, International Drive

Taverna Opa is one of the most unique restaurants near the Walt Disney World Resort for Greek cuisine. You can dazzle your tastebuds with an array of authentic Mediterranean offerings, ranging from classic meze appetizers to moussaka and keftedes. There is also a family menu for added value for money. But it’s not all about the food here. The party atmosphere is brought nightly with a selection of family-friendly entertainment. Belly dancing, napkin throwing, and Zorba line dancing are all part of the package when you choose Taverna Opa. And be prepared to be transported to Greece as the resident DJ takes to the decks to spin some Greek classics. Located at Pointe Orlando, you are just minutes away from popular Orlando attractions, making it the ideal place to end your day in style.
