While things are heating up in Florida this spring, SeaWorld is sizzling with its 60th anniversary celebrations and the opening of 3 new family-friendly rides across SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and Aquatica. Better yet, the wonders of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment are closer than ever with limited time ticket savings. So buckle up as we dive into the details, and raise a toast to 6 decades of hair-raising rides and wildlife conservation…

Penguin Trek at SeaWorld Orlando

Penguin Trek is SeaWorld Orlando’s eighth rollercoaster – after the opening of Pipeline: The Surf Coaster last year. You need to be just over a metre to ride, meaning even the smaller members of the family can join in on the fun.

At the start, you’ll find yourselves in the middle of an Antarctic research base, before boarding your high-speed ‘snowmobile’ for a very important mission. This is all part of SeaWorld Orlando’s and Penguin Trek's educational mission. The ride will remind guests why the conservation of Antarctica is so important, especially the grand finale (spoiler alert) …

Strap in tight, as the ride twists and turns guests over a 3,020-foot track, at speeds of up to 43 miles per hour. You’ll be zoomed inside and outside, past crumbling ice caverns and eventually out into a live penguin habitat.

Phoenix Rising at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

While Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is renowned for its heart-pounding rides like Iron Gwazi - the fastest and steepest hybrid coaster on the planet, Tigris – Florida’s tallest launch coaster, and Serengeti Flyer – the tallest and fastest ride of its kind worldwide, it's also rolling out something special for the whole family to enjoy.

Spring 2024 marks the grand debut of Phoenix Rising, a suspended roller coaster boasting a whopping 1,831-foot journey jam-packed with twists, turns, and surprises that'll leave you breathless. With a thrilling pace of 44 miles per hour, Phoenix Rising promises an adrenaline rush for all ages. Plus, with a minimum height requirement of just 42 inches, it's another perfect experience for families seeking unforgettable moments together.

And what truly sets the ride apart is the onboard audio system, delivering a captivating soundtrack. As you glide through the air, let the music fuel your inner phoenix as you soar through the sky.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist at Aquatica

With its exceptional water rides and lush landscape, it’s no wonder that Aquatica was voted the Best Outdoor Water Park by USA Today 10best. And come spring 2024, a new addition will grace this award-winning park.

Introducing Tassie’s Underwater Twist – a unique water slide experience like no other. Embark on a thrilling 129-foot journey aboard a two-person inner tube and glide through a mesmerising digital underwater landscape inspired by Australia’s Shark Bay. But that's just the beginning of the fun…

As you make your way through the slide, get ready for a sensory extravaganza! Feel the adrenaline surge as an uplifting musical score and dazzling video projections accompany every twist and turn. Then marvel at the synchronised display of vibrant fish and stunning seagrass meadows enveloping you into a world of colour and wonder. Tailormade for families seeking a moderate thrill, Tassie’s Underwater Twist promises non-stop excitement for adventurers of all ages.

It’s a big year

As we touched upon earlier, it’s an exciting year at SeaWorld Orlando. The parks turn 60 in 2024, so the anniversary celebrations are in full swing. To celebrate, SeaWorld has launched a special ‘So Much More to Sea’ campaign. It means you can look forward to exciting new presentations and shows, as well as limited edition food, drink and merchandise.

Some of the details on this are still hush-hush. But what we do know is that you’ll be able to watch exciting Cirque-style shows and character parades, as well as stock up on some exclusive 60-year anniversary memorabilia and collectables. Things kicked off in March, so watch this space for more details over the coming weeks.

Let’s just say if you’ve been considering a trip to SeaWorld, now is a great time to start planning!
