Miami. Overview.
Miami is the most flamboyant and seductively interesting in Florida. On the edge of the Caribbean, with palm trees or fountains around every corner, it is easy to find your way around. If you are on a family holiday a week is probably the most enjoyable and the least tiring time to holiday there. Even better would be two weeks!
Miami is divided into two main areas which are Miami City Mainland and Miami Beach. They are different places which is important to understand for orientation. Biscayne Bay separates both places. Both have easily accessible attractions, such as streets which range from the posh to the raffish, classy avenues, lovely bars, cafes, a great club scene, art deco architecture, to high rises disappearing happily into the clouds.
Miami Beach is a beach to boost your ego with Cuban, Haitian, Argentinian and American scantily clad folk who will welcome you and your family. Strip down to your swimwear and revel in the sparkle of the waves lapping over you. The many huge sandy beaches around Key Biscayne Island are peaceful and have see great city views.
