Universal Epic Universe

Universal Epic Universe is set to open on 22nd May 2025.

Universal Epic Universe is located in the southern area of Universal Orlando Resort on a 750-acre site near the Orange County Convention Center and about 12 minutes away from the main Universal Orlando Resort site.

Initially, there will be no standalone tickets for EPIC Universe. Instead, for clients travelling in 2025 there is the 3 Park Explorer Ticket with 1 Day Epic Universe; for 2026 visits, an All Park Ticket will be required and is also on sale today.

The 750-acre site of Epic Universe will be the largest Universal park in the USA.

Initial tickets for Universal Epic Universe will be limited to one-day admissions. We recommend pre-planning your visit and prioritising your preferred experiences. Better yet, our Universal experts would love to help you craft an itinerary today.

For 2025, your Universal Orlando 3-Park Explorer PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket is valid for 15 calendar days. This includes 14 days of access to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay, along with one day at Universal Epic Universe. You don’t need to pre-book your visit to Universal Epic Universe, but you’ll need to visit within the 15-day validity period.

There is a parking lot right outside the main gate entrance of Epic Universe. Depending on whether you're at the front or end of the parking lot, it will take 5-15min to reach the entrance of the park from here.

Parking charges for Epic Universe are expected to be the same as existing costs. Parking is usually free after 6 PM at Universal Orlando Resort – aside from evening events like Halloween Horror Nights. Regular self-parking is $32, and preferred self-parking is $60.

Yes, all shuttles from Universal Orlando Resort hotels will have a stop at Universal Epic Universe.

The closest hotels to Universal Epic Universe are the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, which is located within the park, and Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort, both situated adjacent to the park.

Currently, Universal Express Passes are not available for Universal Epic Universe, as it is only a one-day park for the time being.

Villatel Orlando Resort is located just 2 miles (approx. 5-8 minutes drive) from Universal Epic Universe. As Orlando’s first ‘villa hotel’ a stay here promises the best of both worlds – your own space and the amenities of a resort hotel. This accommodation features a range of two-to-nine-bedroom villas, sleeping up to 18 people.

Across 5 themed lands, each crafted to be a world of their own, there are more than 50 unique experiences you can jump into. Highlights include Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, where you can travel via omnidirectional lift to the trial of Dolores Umbridge with Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

We also love Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, an interactive motion-simulated journey where you can battle against Team Bowser to win the Golden Cup.

Throughout Epic Universe, there will be shopping and dining experiences themed to each land. However, the main gateway to Epic Universe is Celestial Park, where most of the shopping and dining opportunities await.

More details on how Universal Epic Universe will be incorporated into the Perks programme will be shared in the upcoming months. However, Helios is categorised as a Premier Hotel and both the Stella and Terra Resorts are Prime Value. As such, the usual benefits of staying at resorts in each category apply, including Early Park Admission when staying at all official Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

You can purchase a 2 Day Park Ticket with 1 Day Epic Addon Ticket locally for the same price as our 14 Day 3 Park Explorer Ticket with 1 Day Epic Addon. Therefore, it’s more cost effective to purchase your ticket in advance. Plus, there is high demand expected for Epic Universe tickets, and they are expected to sell out before its grand opening.

Rosen Shingle Creek boasts the distinction of being the closest hotel to Universal Epic Universe which isn’t an official Universal Orlando Resort hotel. This strategic location, just 2.5 miles from Universal Orlando Resort, offers you the convenience of easy access without the premium price tag associated with official Universal hotels.

We can also confirm that shuttles from Rosen Shingle Creek to Universal Orlando Resort are complimentary. Though please note that reservations for the shuttle service are required and must be made in person at the Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Centre located in the hotel lobby. There is also an ADA shuttle service, yet space is limited, with one mobility aid per departure.

If you are staying at a hotel near Universal Orlando Resort, you will need to check the transportation options available to Epic Universe on a case-by-case basis. But to point you in the right direction, here are popular hotels with longstanding, free shuttle services to Universal Orlando Resort that will now also include stops at Epic Universe: 

Drury Inn & Suites near Universal Orlando Resort – provides a complimentary shuttle service only 2 miles from Universal that takes 5-10 minutes. Reservations are required and can be made at the Universal Planning Center. 

Point Hotel & Suites Orlando – provides a frequent shuttle to Universal taking 5-10 minutes.  Guests can get boarding passes by visiting the concierge desk. 

Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando - provides guests with free shuttle service to Universal Orlando Resort taking 10-15 minutes. Scheduling of transportation is based on regular park operating hours and does not run continuously.  Advance reservations are required and must be made in person at the Universal Partner Hotel Vacation Planning Center located in the hotel lobby 24 hours prior to departure.  

Holiday Inn Express & Suites International Drive Orlando – offers a complimentary, scheduled shuttle taking 10-15 minutes for which guests must register for in advance. Reservations can be made at the Universal Kiosk on a first-come, first-serve basis. 

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress – offers a complimentary shuttle service running twice daily to Universal Orlando Resort that takes approx. 20 minutes. Guests must make reservations in advance and can be picked up from the hotel lobby area.

Universal Orlando Resort is ADA compliant across all of its parks, attractions and accommodations. Therefore, you can expect a range of accessible features, including:

You can upgrade your existing Universal ticket to a Universal Orlando 3-Park Explorer PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket. This upgrade gives you 14 days of park-to-park access to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure, and Universal Volcano Bay, plus one additional day of park admission to Universal Epic Universe. Currently, Universal Epic Universe is only available as a one-day park.

Since you don’t need to pre-book for Universal Epic Universe, you can visit on any day during the 15-day window of your ticket. If the park reaches capacity and you can't enter, you can return on another day within that period.

We recommend arriving at the park as early as possible to ensure you enter before it reaches full capacity. This is the same principle that all other Universal Orlando Parks apply.
