Whether you’re staying in a deluxe or moderate hotel, the pools are great at all price points. No matter which hotel you choose, there is something for the whole family at each pool. Every resort hotel boasts an amazing feature pool, with many offering additional ‘quiet’ pools, usually set among rooms, instead of near the main lobbies. Uzima Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House – One of Disney World’s largest pools is up first. This is a tropical oasis, complete with animal viewing areas just a short skip away. It offers a zero-entry point, perfect for younger holidaymakers to not have to join in the deep end. A 67-foot-long waterslide can be enjoyed, and the adults can take advantage of the pool bar and hot tubs, which are tucket away amongst the canopy trees and other foliage.

Cosy Cone pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Distinctive cone cabanas, make this pools feel more like a fxeature pool and is a popular choice for guests staying in the Cars Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation. The best bit? The cabanas are available for free on a first-come first-served basis, so make sure you wake up early at least once to take advantage of this. They offer ample room and shade, perfect for families who want to make a day of it.

Copper Creek Springs at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – It may be one of the smallest feature pools, but don’t be fooled, it's fantastic theme makes it a huge hit! The springs begin in the hotel lobby and you can follow the creek down a winding, rocky trail, past a 67-foot slide built into the oversize boulders. The Fire Rock Geyser erupts on the hour from 7am to 10pm daily and can be viewed perfectly from the pool, two hot tub jacuzzis and splash area.
The Riviera Pool at Disney’s Riviera Resort – The newest Walt Disney World Resort Hotel - Disney’s Riviera Resort, offers guests the chance to be transported to the European rivieras, with gorgeous architecture and sophisticated décor that spans the whole Riviera Pool. Makes a splash on a waterslide, that winds around a stately column tower. Or, allow the children to choose from two waterslides at the interactive play area inspired by Europe’s grand fountains.

Fuentes de Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort – This pool has plenty to explore, themed after a colonial Spanish fortress. The younger family members can climb the staircase in one of the Fort’s turrets to conquer its two waterslides. Wade into the water at the zero-entry point or take aim behind water cannons. The splash pad is a swashbuckler’s paradise as it’s pirate ship themed.
The Lost City of Cibola Pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – Depending on where your room is, it can be quite a walk to get with, but the Lost City of Cibola Pool at the Dig Site is worth it. Themed after Mayan ruins, the focal point of this HUGE pool are is the 50-foot pyramid and its cascading wall of water. Thrill-seekers can let loose on the 123-foot-long waterslide (nearly double the length of slide previously mentioned) whilst those who enjoy a more laidback style can unwind in one of two hot tubs, including the largest at Disney World. There’s also a play area, arcade, kids pool and sand volleyball court nearby, as well as the Siesta pool bar, great for a bite to eat.

Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Resort – The refurbishment of this pool happened in 2015 and has since become one of the most popular pools on property. The deck and seating area were expanded, so if your last visit was pre-2015, it’s worthy of another visit. A tiki-themed water play area and an infinity-edge hot tub also complete this refurb. Of course, with a name like Lave Pool, there has to be a volcano, and the little ones can climb to the top of it before making a 142-foot-lon plunge down its waterslide. Set on the Seven Seas Lagoon across from Magic Kingdom, this pool offers the best views of any pool at Disney World.
Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation – The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool at Disney World. Colourful, oversized set pieces of Nemo, Crush and other film characters surround the pool area, so you can be completely immersed in the Finding Nemo film. The zero-entry pool plays tunes from its underwater speakers, a unique experience for the little ones. The younger ones can make a splash at the Schoolyard Sprayground, with its pop-up jets and more fun characters.
