Our Orlando Villa Favourites
Walt Disney World Resort
It’s safe to say that Orlando Villa multi-centre holidays are often booked with one major attraction in mind: Walt Disney World Resort. Alone, the resort lures around 58 million people to Orlando every year, fulfilling the dreams of children and adults alike with undeniable appeal to all ages.
Four individual parks make up the Walt Disney World Resort including Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, each centred around a unique theme, with exceptional rides and memorable experiences to delight the entire family. Plus, there are two legendary water parks within the resort: Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon – providing the perfect base for cooling off in that Florida heat!
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort is the area’s other world-famous park, comprising the Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure parks, which are connected by the superb Universal CityWalk dining and entertainment plaza.
Universal Orlando Resort is practically a pilgrimage site for Harry Potter fans, but even your run-of-the-mill ‘muggles’ will be fascinated by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, with its immersive attractions and exquisite attention to detail. Universal’s Islands of Adventure continues the movie theme and features loads of rollercoasters based on all your favourite characters and superheroes including Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and King Kong.
SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is famed for its advanced rollercoasters and up-close animal experiences, together with an unwavering dedication to the conservation and rehabilitation of marine animals such as sea turtles, manatees, orcas, penguins, sea lions and many more.
Exhilarating rides like Kraken® and Mako® whisk visitors through the air at astonishing speeds, with the latest thrills coming from the innovative Pipeline: The Surf Coaster stand-up wave ride. Kids are also well catered to with the adorable Sesame Street Land™ at SeaWorld®, featuring low-impact, kid-friendly rides such as Abby’s Flower Tower, Cookie Drop and Elmo’s Choo Choo Train. And when the little ones need to cool off, the Rubber Duckie Water Works water play area offers the perfect spot!
Discovery Cove
Discovery Cove is an award-winning day resort experience in the backdrop of a tropical paradise, where visitors can swim with dolphins, snorkel with thousands of colourful fish, hand-feed exotic birds or simply lounge by the pool with a cocktail in hand. This all-inclusive park features several pools with waterfalls, as well as a lazy river and the beautiful Freshwater Oasis lagoon shared with playful otters and cheeky marmosets – a world apart from the excitement of the theme parks.
All-inclusive day packages include limitless food and drink, access to all the pools, lagoons and beaches, wetsuits and snorkel equipment, and even suncream and towels. For an added splash of luxury, hire out one of the private cabanas to take your experience to the next level!
ICON Park Orlando
The 20-acre ICON Park is one of International Drive’s most fun attractions, and a great place to spend some downtime on multi-centre holidays in Orlando Villas. This one-stop-shop destination offers excellent dining, shopping and entertainment from day to night for the entire family. Take a spin on the 400 ft tall The Wheel for panoramic Orlando views or stick to ground level for a ride on the lovely Carousel on the Promenade.
When it comes to dining out, you’re spoiled for choice at ICON Park where there are dozens of great places to eat and drink whatever takes your fancy. And to finish the evening, sit down to some wonderful live music and entertainment like “Havana Nights” at Sloppy Joe’s for authentic Latin party vibes every Wednesday!
Aquaticaâ„¢
SeaWorld Orlando’s water park is a wonderful day out – particularly on the hottest Florida days – and has plenty of thrill-seeking rides to rival the major theme parks. Riptide Race beckons you to race against your friends and family on the world’s tallest duelling waterslide, while the white-knuckle Reef Plunge slide drops you down at super high speeds with loads of twists and turns, through a vibrant underwater territory full of tropical fish, dolphins and leopard sharks.
Aquatica™ is one of the top family-friendly water attractions in Orlando and caters to all ages, with sparkling pools, lazy rivers and interactive children’s water play areas to keep you entertained on multi-centre holidays in Orlando.
Gatorland
The self-proclaimed “The Alligator Capital of the World®”, Gatorland is one of the area’s favourite nature-oriented attractions. This beloved park has been operating for more than 70 years and proudly showcases Florida’s wild, beautiful side – a far cry from the buzz of the theme parks nearby.
Gatorland is set about halfway between Kissimmee and Orlando within a leafy 110-acre wildlife reserve and cares for over 2,000 stunning American gators. Aside from the name, Gatorland is home to more than just alligators; you can get up close to crocodiles, exotic birds, wild cats, snakes and tortoises in their natural environments. Several excellent behind-the-scenes tours and events are on offer like Adventure Hour, and wonderful shows like Alligators: Legends of the Swamp, Gator Jumperoo and Up-Close Encounters!
The Florida Mall
About half an hour’s drive north of Kissimmee sits the popular Florida Mall, which features more than 250 retail stores and restaurants, providing a great morning out not too far from your villa on multi-centre holidays.
This family-orientated Mall has loads for kids to be entertained while the grown-ups take part in a little retail therapy. There is a 3,000 sq ft play area, as well as the exciting Crayola Experience with plenty of hands-on, creative activities to entertain the smallest members of your party. With iconic department stores like Macy’s and Dillard’s, upscale clothing brands, and fashionable high street retailers, there are shopping opportunities here for everyone.
Disney Springs
Disney Springs – formerly Downtown Disney – is Walt Disney World Resort’s reimagined shopping, dining and entertainment hub. Covering an area of about 120 acres, this amazing venue has the feel of a welcoming small town and features more than 60 restaurants and nearly 100 retail shops, including the world’s largest Disney Store: ‘World of Disney’.
Aside from picking up your obligatory Disney merch, you can also shop for jewellery, clothing, art and collectibles, designer eyewear, fragrances, homeware and gifts for friends and family back home (or for yourself, we won’t judge). Plus, there are even dedicated Coca-Cola and M&M’s® stores to satisfy those with a sweet tooth!
Orlando International Premium Outlets
Conveniently positioned at the northern end of International Drive is the impressive Orlando International Premium Outlets – the largest of its kind in Florida – offering heavily discounted deals on many upscale fashion brands. Spend leisurely days away from the parks and take advantage of these brilliant bargains to save up to 80% on Orlando Villa multi-centre holidays.
Meander between 160+ popular stores including Polo Ralph Lauren, Coach, Marc Jacobs, the Disney Outlet, Forever 21 and the Michael Kors Outlet for some holiday treats. And when you’ve shopped ‘til you dropped, take a well-earned rest and grab some food from one of the various eateries in the mall!
Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores
If your Orlando Villa twin-centre holidays are based in the Lake Buena Vista area, then this nice outlet mall is a great option for a cheeky afternoon out shopping. And did you know, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is the only outlet mall in Orlando that offers convenient store-front parking, for free?
You can save up to 75% at heaps of popular outlet stores like Calvin Klein, the Nike Factory Store, Levi’s Outlet Store, the Gap Outlet and Under Armour. Then head for the LBV Eatery food court and grab a quick bite to eat of whatever you feel like including Mexican, sushi, burgers, pizzas, or hotdogs!
The Mall at Millenia
The Mall at Millenia is THE place for upscale shopping in Orlando. Positioned just a couple of miles away from Universal Orlando Resort, this popular shopping centre features beautiful glass ceilings, striking art installations, plus you are greeted by ambient floodlit palm trees upon entering.
The Mall features 150 or more restaurants and shops, with luxury designer labels such as Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Tiffany & Co., Bvlgari, Dior and Prada to browse. Well-known US department stores Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus all span two storeys of this huge mall, offering a surreal shopping experience even if you don’t buy anything – especially around the holidays when their festive feel is unmatched!
Lake Eola Park
Quieter days away from the hubbub of the theme parks call for a leisurely stroll in one of Orlando’s green spaces, of which there are many. Set within the heart of Downtown Orlando is the stunning Lake Eola Park offering a blissful retreat from the tourist magnets of Orlando.
Pack up a picnic, get in the car and head for the park to set up camp under the shade of the trees and wander along its lakeside pathways, or hire your own swan-shaped paddle boat for a tranquil ride across the water. Plus, the on-site Walt Disney Amphitheater features an impressive schedule of free live music concerts, plays and movie nights if you’re looking for a relaxing evening out for the family.
Harry P. Leu Gardens
If you want an escape into nature but don’t want to travel too far from your villa, head for the stunning Harry P. Leu Gardens, which comprises almost 50 acres of leafy botanical parkland close to Downtown Orlando. The Gardens offer visitors a chance to breathe and space to walk amid oak trees and observe unique collections of flowers, fruits, vegetables and native wildlife like butterflies.
The Gardens are open all-year-round and each changing season brings with it new plants, trees and shrubs, so you will always see different displays. Explore various individual gardens showcasing an abundance of flora, including bamboo, arid plants, azaleas, bananas, ferns, citrus trees, hibiscus and a calming tropical stream garden.
Wekiwa Springs State Park
The gorgeous Wekiwa Springs State Park is located less than 30 minutes’ drive north of Downtown Orlando and transports you to an oasis of emerald-green springs for an inviting escape from the Florida heat. Its crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, kayaking and canoeing, and on dry land there are miles of walking, jogging and cycling trails to keep you active during your multi-centre holidays in Orlando.
You can pack up a picnic from the convenient kitchen of your villa and head here for an entire day, or just stop by for a snack and a quick dip in the water. However you choose to spend your time at Wekiwa Springs, you’ll leave feeling revived and ready to tackle the rest of your jam-packed Orlando holiday.
West Orange Trail
In 1999, work completed on this old railroad track, which connected the communities of Winter Garden, Oakland and Apopka to create one of Orlando’s most popular nature attractions. The multi-use West Orange Trail stretches for 22 miles and is ideal for walking, running, cycling, and even in-line skating. If you’re after a retreat from the theme park chaos, this scenic trail invites you to get away from it all and step into Florida’s past.
Start your journey at one of its four trailheads, which comprise quaint former train stations and depots and feature all the amenities you will need to set off, including plenty of spots to hire out bikes and rollerblades!
Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park
Wild Florida Airboats & Gator Park is one of the most fun smaller Orlando attractions, offering an exhilarating day out without stepping foot on a rollercoaster, and is located just 40 miles south of Downtown Orlando.
Glide effortlessly through swamps, marshes and sparkling rivers on a speedy airboat and look out for one of Florida’s most famous residents, the alligator. You might even see turkeys, wild boar and eagles on your eco-tour too. After that, make your way to the Gator Park and learn about 200+ native and exotic animals, including lemurs and adorable two-toed sloths. There’s even a sweet petting zoo and playground, where the little ones can get up close to cute critters while the grown-ups take a well-earned break!
Dining on International Drive
If you’re on multi-centre holidays in Orlando Villas, you’ll likely spend a lot of time on or around Orlando’s main tourist strip, International Drive. This major thoroughfare is packed up and down with restaurants and entertainment venues and spans over 11 miles, plus the convenient I-Ride Trolley travels up and down I-Drive, offering a stress-free way to explore without the hassle of having to park your car.
There are more dining options on I-Drive than you could fit into one trip, so it you don’t fancy cooking and eating in, head for one of its many iconic American restaurant and fast-food chains, as well as many independent eateries, including International House of Pancakes (IHOP), Taco Bell, Olive Garden, TGI Fridays and The Cheesecake Factory!
Immersive Dining Shows
There are heaps of fun dining experiences involving audience participation in Orlando, which cater to the whole family and offer a thrilling change to your standard evening meals out. Head for the seas on a daring voyage at the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure Orlando, with awesome tricks and performances alongside hearty cuisine.
Or don your thinking caps for the interactive Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show, where diners are taken through a 45-minute comedy performance featuring shady characters dishing out lots of clues, to ultimately solve the crime and win prizes – all while eating your pre-booked meal!

An ICON Park Play Pass will offer you great savings on many of its top attractions, including up to 20% off many of the best restaurants and bars in the park.
Universal CityWalk

This 30-acre nighttime complex has restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment in abundance and is open daily, with free self-parking after 6pm – bonus!
The dining options here are diverse, from casual American grub at Hard Rock Café to the excellent Bob Marley CityWalk restaurant – a touching tribute to the iconic singer with live reggae music in the background and a delicious menu of traditional food like oxtail stew, jerk chicken and curried shrimp!
Orlando Villa FAQs
Orlando Villa FAQs
Orlando Villa FAQs
March to April and June to August are the busiest times of year as they get the best weather, very warm and comfortable for swimming and being outside. These are also the busiest times of year so be aware of longer queues, with many attractions hitting full capacity. The summer months bring hot and humid weather, as well as almost-daily afternoon rains. The climate during the shoulder months of May, and September through November is more pleasant, and prices are generally more affordable.
Florida multi-centre holidays with Orlando villas are ideal if you want to combine a fun-filled theme park getaway with a leisurely oceanside stint on the Gulf Coast, Gold Coast or down in the Florida Keys. The Sunshine State’s proximity to the Caribbean also places it well for a dash of tropical paradise alongside your villa holiday. Orlando’s position in Central Florida allows visitors to explore the state in all directions, finding new and exciting destinations everywhere you go.
Orlando’s road system is simple to navigate between theme parks, villa communities and major attractions with everything well signposted, making driving the easiest and often quickest way to get around. However, traffic can get busy particularly at peak travel times, so plan your journeys ahead especially if you have booked time-specific tickets. There is also good public transport in and around Orlando – for example the I-Ride Trolley on International Drive – if you fancy a night off driving!
If you’re staying in an Orlando area villa, hiring a car is a must. Orlando is a huge place and distances between attractions can be quite lengthy depending on where you are based, sometimes up to 30 minutes’ drive away. Having the freedom of your own car for multi-centre holidays is also a great idea as it is easy to navigate between all the popular Florida destinations and lets you take control of your trip!
