When you think of the Deep South, grand, white houses on large, leafy plantations usually spring to mind. The Oak Alley Plantation Tour is just that - an architecturally stunning house which has preserved its 175-year history. Known as the “Grande Dame of the Great River Road”, this heritage mansion is located on the Mississippi River between the vibrant cities of New Orleans and Baton Rouge.
 
The most photographed mansion in the world, this spectacular house has high ceilings, second floor viewing gallery and symmetrical façade. To the front of the house, you’ll find two rows of parallel oak trees with a path through the middle, quarter of a mile long, welcoming guests when they arrive.
 
Step back in time and explore the house and grounds from a bygone era. Experienced guides take you into the mansion and will share the history of those who lived and worked on the grounds.
