Minion Land is officially open! It’s time to gather up your own little minions and prepare to make mischief. This new land in Universal Orlando Resort is packed with attractions and we have all the fun-filled details. So, strap on those goggles and take a first look at this family-friendly extravaganza...

Based around the ever-popular Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem ride, Minion Land is a reimagined area that was previously part of Production Central. Now fully dedicated to the world's cutest capsule-shaped creatures, it encompasses a range of amenities and attractions, from thrilling rides to unique eateries, as well as character meet and greets, and as many Minion souvenirs as your heart desires. Plus, there are plenty of photo ops in front of some very familiar locations. Top tip: Be sure to strike your best supervillain pose outside The Bank of Evil.

Top Minion Land Attractions

Villain-Con Minion Blast

Set to open any day now, the highly anticipated Villain-Con Minion Blast will see you shoot your way to victory as you join the likes of Belle Bottom, Jean Clawed, and the rest of the Vicious 6. Hop aboard the moving walkway and prepare for a range of challenges which will put your villainess skills to the test in the hopes of joining the franchise’s supervillain royalty.

Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem

Get ready to step into the shoes (or overalls) of a minion and join mad scientist Gru and his daughters on an unforgettable journey. This motion simulator ride lets you be a part of Gru’s latest scheme. But when things don’t go to plan, you are launched into his supervillain laboratory where your Minion training truly begins. And don’t worry, no one has to miss out on this ride. For those little ones that don’t quite meet the height requirements, there is stationary seating onboard the ride.

Illumination Theatre

Head to Illumination Theatre to rub shoulders with Illumination’s biggest stars. Whether you’re looking for that perfect picture with a Minion or hoping to catch a tune from the likes of Johnny and Gunter from Sing, be sure to get your spot in the queue at this Illumination Avenue hotspot. It’s also the perfect location for your own holiday photoshoot – after all, the red carpet is already rolled out.

Places to eat in Minion Land

Minion Café

Refuel Minion style at a stop-off at Minion Café. Here, you can take your pick from a delightfully inventive menu, featuring the likes of Uncle Dru’s Belly Fillin’ Pork Sandwich and Lucy’s Top Secret Salmon. Then grab a seat in one of the three themed areas dedicated to the beloved Minion gang, Kevin, Stuart, and Bob. And when it’s time to indulge your sweet tooth, desserts such as Minion Swiss Roll and Fluffy Unicorn Cupcake are sure to satisfy. Minion Café also has an express window for those on the go and a kids’ menu offering up a selection of Minion tots, mac & cheese, and more.

Bake My Day

At Bake My Day, you will be greeted with a tantalizing selection of bakery delights - even the structure itself looks good enough to eat, with its big pink cupcake perched on the roof and candy cane-inspired décor. At the counter, you will find a wide variety of sweet treats, from special Minion macarons to s’mores and cake pops with a despicably imaginative twist. But that’s not all. Bake My Day also doubles up as a shop and houses a wide selection of bakery-themed Minion merch.

Pop-A-Nana

Recreating the movie magic of Minions wouldn't be complete without popcorn. Better yet, at Pop-A-Nana, popcorn is a treat at any time of the day. This poptastic menu of fresh popcorn even has Minion-inspired banana popcorn. And that’s not the only Minion-approved banana item on the menu. They also serve up Wells Banana Bread beer as a treat for the adults, while thirsty little ones can enjoy the Antidote, complete with oodles of banana flavour with Minion-coloured topping and graham cracker crumbles.

Freeze Ray Pops

Beneath the scorching Floridian heat, Freeze Ray Pops is definitely somewhere to mark on the map. Situated next to Bake My Day, this quirky joint is lined with a fabulous selection of thirst-quenching popsicles, with flavours including Cotton Candy, Cheesecake, and Lemon Mint. You can even take your pick from speciality items such as Gru Nutella and Minion Blue Banana. These frozen delights make for the perfect pit stop to cool down.

Minion Land Shopping

Evil Stuff

Evil Stuff is the gift shop for the brand-new Villain-Con Minion Blast attraction. But while you will have to wait a little longer for the ride, the shop has already opened its doors. Embrace the dark side down dimly lit aisles as you stock up on the most menacing of merchandise. Centred around the popular Despicable Me franchise, it features all your favourite baddies, from Vector to the Vicious 6, on t-shirts, bags, mugs, keyrings, and lots more.

Super Silly Stuff

If you’re looking to get your hands on an assortment of all things Despicable Me, Super Silly Stuff is your one-stop-shop. Stocked to the brim with Gru and the gang gadgets and marvellous Minion merch, it’s easy to spend your dollars here. Whether you’re after a Fluffy the Unicorn plushie, a Minion Lego set, or a new wardrobe of character-printed clothing, you’ll find it all at Super Silly Stuff.

More Minion Mayhem…

Still craving more of the Minions? Why not stay at Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel where your little troublemakers can stay in a connected Minion suite. Decked out with a missile bed and Minion-covered wallpaper, there’s no better way to catch some Z’s after your Minion Land adventure.

And as Minion Land is a new addition to Universal, there’s bound to be plenty more to keep your eyes peeled for, including a host of new character meet and greets at Illumination Theatre.
