Welcome to Tallahassee, Florida’s capital city. Here you can expect generous hospitality typical of the southern states, a bustling metropolitan vibe, and a myriad of cultural leisure and landmarks to enjoy throughout your Floridian holiday.

The variety of things to do in the area totally reflects the capital city atmosphere, as leisure activities include a mix of cultural institutions like museums, plantation homes and state parks, to a lively nightlife among an array of bars and nightclubs.

Culture/ History
It’s easy to see how Tallahassee is Florida’s capital city as it’s packed full of cultural and historical activities to get stuck into. If you want an overview of all things that characterise the state’s fruitful past, then the Museum of Florida History is brilliant for schooling yourself on events that shaped the state as it is today. Some exhibits include ‘Florida in the Civil War’, ‘World War II’, and ‘Naval Ships Named Florida’.

See wildlife and old-school locomotives of the past at St. Mark’s Historic Railroad State Trail and Natural Wildlife Refuge, or catch classic cars at Tallahassee Antique Car Museum.

Enjoy the lively nightlife scene for your evenings after relaxing days by the coast. Tallahassee is packed to the brim with a bunch of quality clubs, bars and pubs for you to frequent for an evening tipple, with unique personalities and characters that’ll have you wanting to revisit time and time again.

Local drinking hubs come in a variety here. Salty Dawg Pub & Deli lets you have a beer and classic pub-grub in a cheerful good-time setting. Or if you want a night of sophisticated drinking then the Liberty Pub and Restaurant offers a range of craft beers and bespoke cocktails for a classy evening.

Or, if you’re partial to a cigar then you’re in for a treat, as Tallahassee is home to a fantastic cigar lounge. Fuma Cigar Social offers you the chance to kick back and relax with one of a world-wide selection of hand-rolled cigars and your drink of choice in hand.

Performing Arts
Tallahassee and its locals certainly have a taste for the arts, and it shows with the array of creative activities you can get involved in around the city. One thing you’ll know if you stroll past Cascades Park is that there is an amphitheatre that showcases live operatic and music performances for your enjoyment, brilliant on one of Florida’s many sunny days.

You can also catch Broadway-style and independent shows at Theatre Tallahassee, or Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. It seems like wherever you go, artistic performances and shows are always close by, making for a great evening of entertainment.
