Orlando is full of amazing hotels that get you and your family close to the action - whether thats Universal Orlando Resort, Walt Disney World Resort or anywhere else along International Drive. We are diving in to have a look at some of the best resort pools throughout Orlando. Not just somewhere for the kids - a swimming pool can be a place to spend the whole day soaking up the Florida sunshine - so check out our top five favourites below...

Disney Coronado Springs Resort

This cool pool is focused around an old "dig site" water park, with the main feature a large Mayan-temple. This exciting themed pool area includes waterslides and 3 smaller pools. Plus its home to the largest outdoor hot tub at Walt Disney Resort - fitting up to 22 people! The shallow pool area is ideal for the kids, as well as the on site outdoor playground. Hungry? Then theres a poolside snack bar - Siesta Cantina, serving family favourites such as burgers, nachos and drinks.

Disney All-Star Music Resort

Boasting 2 big pools, a childrens pool and a poolside bar - Disneys All Star Music Resort. Children can make a splash in the little pool made for them, whilst the adults can enjoy an alcoholic beverage at the poolside bar "Singing Spirits." The attention to detail at this resort is emanated throughout, with larger-than-life bongos and maracas lining the outside of the large calypso family pool. This pool is imaginatively shaped like a guitar, with the three Caballeros as a focal point, taking the centre of the guitar to shoot water at passers-by. If the excitement of the Calypso pool gets too much, there is a more relaxed vibe by another large onsite pool - shaped like a grand piano!

Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort

A swimming pool with a 1950’s theme, what could be better? This resort features not one but two large swimming pools, a waterslide, and a lazy river, surrounded by tropical plants, small islands and picture-perfect waterfalls. Whilst adults can enjoy a swim-up bar, the younger crowd can enjoy a splash fountain play area and after all the excitement, you can retire to the sandy beach area of this resort pool to unwind.

Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

At this resort, think laidback vibes and tropical island surroundings. With a 16,000 square-foot pool and two white-sand beaches, its easy to spend at least one day of your holiday poolside. As well as a kids play area with pop-up jets, this resort pool has a waterslide, for endless fun. For the adults, there are hot tubs to relax during the day and fire pits to continue that relaxation into the evening. The poolside bar- "Drhum club katine" is available for when youre feeling peckish. Cabanas can be rented for the day at this resort and feature a ceiling fan, fridge with fruit and drinks and a flat panel TV - giving you the chance to relax in luxury!

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

At Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, relaxation is a priority. Relax in the private cabanas that surround the pool, or layback and enjoy the soothing three-acre lazy river. Spend an entire afternoon with the family by this hotels pool, boasting a waterslide too! Refuel at one of the 12 dining options at this resort as your "rest day" between theme parks.
