Innisbrook is a perfect resort for those who want the convenience of beautifully appointed self-catering suites combined with a host of resort facilities and amenities.

Ideal for the whole family, there’s something for everyone at this fantastic resort. Below, we take a closer look of one of Florida’s most exciting up-and-coming resorts; from resort facilities to dining options and accommodation. Innisbrook will have holidaymakers returning year-after-year to experience a fun-filled and relaxing stay.

Found in Palm Harbor on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Innisbrook is just off US 19 and easily accessible from Orlando or Tampa. At a short 2 hour drive away, it is an ideal resort to pair with Orlando if you want to combine the theme parks with the gorgeous coastline in one twin-centre holiday. However, if you wish to stay at Innisbrook for the whole duration of your holiday, flying into Tampa’s airport is your best bet as it is just a 30 minute drive from the resort.

If you have someone travelling in your party who enjoys their golf, they’ll love Innisbrook’s world-renowned golf courses. The most famous is the par 71 Copperhead Course voted consistently among Florida’s best golf courses and visited by a number of PGA Tour professionals. Three other 18-hole courses include the Island Course, the North Course and the South Course; all fantastic and challenging courses boasting a range of water hazards, bunkers and beautiful fairways and greens. There is also the Fox Squirrel Course – a 36-par, 9-hole course perfect for all ages and skill levels.

Spa & Wellness

A brand new 18,000 square foot spa, salon and fitness centre can be found here. Nature provides a stunning backdrop for guests who want to indulge in a range of treatments at the Indaba Spa. You can expect relaxation rooms, steam rooms, whirlpool baths, a meditation labyrinth, a relaxation courtyard and treatment terraces. For the more active guests, the fitness centre provides state-of-the-art equipment, personal trainers and a number of fitness classes.

Resort Activities

In addition to 4 championship golf courses, a 9-hole golf course and a spa complete with a salon and fitness centre, Innisbrook also boasts the following impressive facilities:

  • 11 Clay tennis courts

  • 6 Swimming pools

  • Waterslides

  • 60 Acres of lakes for fishing

  • Jogging and cycling trails

  • Meeting, wedding and event facilities

Perhaps this resorts two most popular restaurants are Packard’s Steakhouse - serving the finest aged premium beef steaks and freshly caught Floridian fish, and Market Salamander Grille - serving traditional seasonal American cuisine. Also, staff at Market Salamander, where you can find a selection of chef-prepared and speciality foods, will kindly prepare custom picnic baskets for your day excursions.

Alternatively, The Turnberry Pub provides the perfect spot for a buffet breakfast, casual lunch or a few pints on the Garden Patio overlooking the island course. Or how about The Grill at Loch Ness where you can also sit in the Floridian sun while you dine poolside with your choice of grilled sandwich, salad or burger? And for those looking to enjoy a few drinks after a round of golf or somewhere to watch a big game, Osprey Bar is the ideal option with 6 flat screen TVs surrounding the bar area  and a large outdoor patio.

Choose from beautifully appointed Executive, One-Bedroom and Two Bedroom Suites which have a separate living area, self-catering facilities and a balcony or patio. Alternatively, Deluxe Guest Bedrooms sleep up to 4 adults, boasting a golf-course or lawn view and an en-suite bathroom; these rooms tend to be a little cheaper than the suites and are great for those who don’t require the extra space or self-catering facilities.

Our Verdict

Innisbrook is a perfect family-friendly resort which really has something for all ages. It is comparable to Reunion Resort in Orlando and boasts a community feel which makes for a perfect fun-filled holiday atmosphere. If you wish to combine the Gulf Coast with a stay in Orlando to create a twin-centre holiday, then Innisbrook, with a selection of dining options, resort activities and accommodations, is a superb option. There’s no doubt that Innisbrook will quickly become one of the most popular resorts in Florida.
