We’ve done the hard work for you (we love it) and collected a range of our favourite Caribbean Beaches to whet your appetite and offer inspiration for your next cruise holiday!
Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
A regular on ‘Best Caribbean Beaches’ lists, Seven Mile Beach is a long, crescent-shaped expanse of perfectly formed sand, fringed by arguably the clearest waters in the Caribbean. If your cruise stops in Grand Cayman and you fancy more than just lounging in the sun, take advantage of its peaceful waters and do some scuba diving and snorkelling to explore the colourful marine life below, or try your hand at parasailing and paddleboarding above the surface to while away the hours in this blissful spot.
Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas
White-sand beaches are commonplace throughout the Caribbean Islands, but the pink-hued glow from the beaches in the Bahamas are something extra special. Take a five-minute ferry from North Eleuthera at the Three Island Dock to Harbour Island and witness the beauty of Pinks Sands Beach, located on a three-mile stretch of uninterrupted sands. Horseback riding is available here for an even more unique oceanfront experience!
Crane Beach, Barbados
Another famous beach with soft-pink sands is the stunning Crane Beach on the island’s southeastern coast, which is overlooked by The Crane resort hotel atop an eighty-foot cliff, making it one of Barbados’ most dramatic and picturesque beaches. The water can be a little choppier here due to its Atlantic Ocean location, but it’s protected by a natural coral reef and largely a safe place to swim. Crane Beach is also one of the most accessible in the Caribbean with a glass-front elevator to take you down to the sand.
Eagle Beach, Aruba
Tripadvisor rates Eagle Beach as one of the world’s best, and for good reason. This area of powder-soft sand is set further back from the popular high-rise hotels of the island, offering a blissful vibe with fewer crowds and more space for unwinding and basking in the sun. An ideal position on Aruba’s west side means the beach affords sweeping views over the sparkling Caribbean Sea and priceless Caribbean sunsets. It doesn’t get much more idyllic than this!
Grace Bay Beach, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
A recurrent contender for the best beach in the world, Grace Cay Beach is characteristically picturesque with flawless powder-white sands and impossibly clear waters. Situated within the beautiful Princess Alexandra National Park on the northern coast of Providenciales, this slice of heaven is protected by a stunning barrier reef system and is home to several excellent scuba diving sites.
Smuggler’s Cove, Tortola, British Virgin Islands
Quietly occupying a southwestern position at the tip of Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands, Smuggler’s Cove is a beautiful, secluded spot lined with palm trees and fringed by warm, iridescent waters. Smuggler’s Cove is largely unvisited by tourists and offers a more peaceful beach day, and it’s easy to get here by a short taxi ride from Road Town once you disembark your cruise.
Magens Bay, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
The lightly toasted sands and turquoise waters of the horseshoe-shaped Magens Bay are a firm favourite with visitors to St. Thomas, which boasts a distinctly tropical atmosphere and offers opportunities for water-based activities like snorkelling. For a dash of adventure, hike up the nature trails surrounding the beach for epic views from the mountaintop lookout, then return to the beach and unfurl on a sun lounger for ultimate relaxation. Note that there is a $5 per person admission fee to visit Magens Bay (children 12 years and under are free).
Grand Anse Beach, Grenada
Grand Anse Beach is a mesmerising stretch, and one of Grenada’s most popular beaches that is perfect for a day trip if you are disembarking your cruise in search of a few hours of sun-drenched relaxation, great food, and a lively atmosphere. Its flour-soft sands are edged by shimmering aquamarine waters, offering all the right ingredients that make up a dream-worthy Caribbean beach. There are also plenty of hotels and oceanside bars and restaurants bordering the beach, so you can easily spend all day here.
Princess Margaret Beach, Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Fit for royalty, this unspoilt natural beach on the island of Bequia gently curves around the bay and is just a short walk from Port Elizabeth. Catch a ferry across from St. Vincent and you’ll find a handful of colourful beach bars to grab a cold drink on a hot day—we recommend a refreshing rum punch—and plenty of space to unwind and enjoy some sun-soaked bliss for a few hours.
Sugar Beach, St. Lucia
Flanked by a hundred acres of verdant rainforest and nestled between the colossal Pitons—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—Sugar Beach is one of the sweetest spots in St. Lucia. With flour-soft white sands and gently lapping blue waters, it’s the perfect place to relax, lounge, and swim, particularly after a strenuous hike up the mountains. Sitting in front of the impeccable Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort, this is a public beach—as are all the beaches on the island—meaning you can spend a few hours and enjoy this five-star location in style.
