An array of child-friendly attractions result in families leaving Memphis very satisfied. The Memphis Zoo is one of the most popular along with The Pink Palace Museum, the largest science museum in the mid-south. For older age groups, there are also many more museums to explore such as The National Civil Rights Museum on the site where Martin Luther King was assassinated, or The Brooks Museum of Art which is the largest art museum in Tennessee.

Its famous music heritage (BB King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley) is noticed throughout the streets in a variety of pubs, clubs and bars which feature established performers and an array of new talent on a daily basis. If you wish to learn about the city’s music history, Stax Museum of American Soul Music and the Memphis Rock N’ Soul Museum are popular attractions.

The river also presents an opportunity to enjoy various water-based activities such as canoeing or a river boat cruise. The city’s airport is located 7 miles southeast of downtown Memphis meaning transport time from the airport to your hotel will be short.

Beale Street with its range of clubs, bars and live music with a fantastic number of delicious restaurants providing authentic flare. International restaurants are dotted all over the city but it is the traditional American restaurants which steal the show - make sure you pay a visit to Rendezvous Restaurant; the city is known for excellent barbecue ribs and you will not find any better than at this restaurant - a hot-spot known to attract a few celebrities.

Graceland
Sitting on a 13.8 acre estate, Graceland is one of the top tourist attractions in Memphis. In fact, it is said that this house is the second most visited house in the whole of the United States, second to the White House. Elvis and music fans come here to view his incredible collection of merchandise with the house holding a museum that features two of his private jets, a number of his classic cars and his iconic jumpsuits.  The sublime, glorious, and bizarre home of the King of Rock and Roll features a 15ft couch, fake waterfall, yellow vinyl walls and green shag-carpet ceiling!
