The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Experience living in a wooden cabin in the wilderness away from the hustle and bustle of the busy resort. Your log cabin has its own kitchenette, so you can make meals for the family and a lounge area with a flat screen TV. The bedrooms are in a separate space and includes a queen bed and a bunk bed, sleeping up to four. A further two people are accommodated on the double sleeper sofa in the living room. Slap your thighs and kick your heels at this hilarious dinner show which will leave your family cheering with glee. Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue serves up lip-smackingly good dishes along with the two-hour show. Marvel at wild west dancers, singers and comedians as you tuck into buckets of fried chicken, BBQ pork ribs, cornbread, coleslaw and strawberry shortcake.

Load up on a whole host of tasty favourites at P & J’s Southern Takeout from morning through to the evening. Everything you can imaging from eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns to muffins and warm sticky buns can be found at breakfast. Lunch is filled with food just as delicious, dig into barbecued pulled pork, pepperoni pizza and fluffy white subs. If you’re still hungry after all this offer, then at dinner you’ll have fried chicken and a whole heap of sides to tuck into. 

From sunrise to sunset, you’ll find delicious American fare at Trail’s End Restaurant. Specialising in rustic, Western food, you certainly won’t go hungry. Start the day with a buffet breakfast which includes the famous Mickey waffles, biscuits and gravy as well as eggs and fresh fruits. Meat eaters will be in for a treat at lunch and dinner where they can sink their teeth into mouth-watering ribs, hand carved roasted joints, shrimps and the fresh catch of the day. Décor in the restaurant is all-American with high beamed ceilings, mounted animals and a bubbling potbelly stove with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. 

Make a splash at the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool where a 67-foot corkscrew waterslide awaits or find a tranquil spot in the whirlpool spa. Adjacent to the pool is a fort-themed water play area where little ones can breeze down their own tot-friendly slides. The other pool in the resort is the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool which is great for a quiet swim and also features a whirlpool spa, so you can unwind without a care in the world. 

Trek through the wilderness on an old-fashioned horse-drawn cart and witness the leafy pine and cypress forest where deer, rabbits, ducks and armadillos roam freely. Enjoy the fresh air with your family on a cart which holds up to four people or a join the comradery on a wagon ride with fellow resort guests. 

Cosy up with friends and family for an evening under the moonlight. Guests at the hotel can catch a movie shown outside on the big screen under the stars or can enjoy an old-fashioned campfire hosted by special guests, Chip ‘N’ Dale complete with toasted marshmallows and sing-a-long songs.
