One of the oldest and most magnificent saloon bars in Washington DC, the Old Ebbitt Grill has been feeding hungry diners since 1856. Located a stone’s throw from the White House, enjoy a traditional American meal in this historic setting. A popular spot for political movers and shakers, journalists and celebrities, this celebrated saloon was also a favourite of Presidents Grant, Cleveland, Harding and Theodore Roosevelt.
 
Step back to the Victorian times and enjoy a few drinks or meal at the Old Ebbitt Grill. The saloon is decked out with mahogany and velvet booths, marble bars and a Beaux-Arts façade. See if you can spot the original antique clock above the revolving doors or the impressive walrus head. Tuck into authentic, up-scale saloon food with a menu which boasts fresh and seasonal ingredients. Known for its delicious food and most famous for its oyster bar.
