Weeki Wachee Spring, Tampa

Watch mermaids elegantly swim and dance in the waters of Weeki Wachee Springs, as they perform their beautiful show at the Park’s underwater theatre. Unique to the Weeki Wachee, the daily show sees The Little Mermaid celebrate her birthday and come face-to-face with her Prince, as in Christian Anderson’s novel. Featuring dance, underwater acrobatics and theatrical performances, you won’t have seen anything quite like it.

The Mermaid Show is just one of the many attractions to draw visitors here. The State Park also boasts Animal Shows, in which you can experience your first alligator or snake encounter, and the River Boat Cruise, which allows you to take in the beauty of Weeki Wachee. Children will also love Buccaneer Bay, an outdoor oasis with kiddie pool and log flume rides amongst other attractions. For something more relaxed, why not take a canoe out on the Wachee Springs and enjoy a slow-paced adventure? With canoes and kayaks available to hire, it’s a great way to explore the seven-mile long Weeki Wachee River.
