New York, Philadelphia & Atlantic City 10 Days

Your second day in New York City will be jam-packed with iconic sights and experiences. Start your journey in Central Park, where you’ll visit famous spots like Bethesda Terrace, Strawberry Fields, and the Central Park Zoo. Next, dive into the vibrant energy of Times Square, then glide down the iconic 5th Avenue, home to luxury shops, historic landmarks, and stunning architecture like St. Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Center.

The rest of the day is yours to explore this captivating city. A fantastic option is The High Line - an elevated park built on a former railway line that offers stunning views, beautiful gardens, and cool art installations. Or head to DUMBO in Brooklyn for postcard-perfect views of the Manhattan skyline. Don’t miss the iconic shot at Washington Street with the Manhattan Bridge in the background. For something truly unique, visit the New York Transit Museum in a decommissioned subway station in Brooklyn. It’s packed with vintage subway cars and interactive exhibits that are fun for all ages.

As your day winds down, make your way to Greenwich Village. This historic neighbourhood is brimming with charm and fantastic dining options. Whether you choose a cosy bistro or a lively eatery, you’ll find the perfect spot to wrap up your day. And if you’re not ready to call it a night, consider a nighttime bus or boat tour to see the city’s skyline twinkling against the dark sky. It’s the perfect way to end your New York adventure.

Set your sights westwards as you embark on a train journey to the City of Brotherly Love. After checking out of your hotel, make your way to Moynihan Train Hall NY to board an Amtrak train bound for Philadelphia. The journey along the Northeast Corridor is scenic and comfortable, providing a relaxing start to your next adventure. Upon arrival in Philadelphia at William H. Gray III 30th Street Station, you’ll head to the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District, featuring a rooftop pool, an inviting onsite restaurant, and a prime spot steeped in American heritage.

Once you’ve checked in and freshened up, you'll begin your exploration of Philadelphia’s historic Old City district. Start by visiting Elfreth's Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the United States. As you walk along its cobblestone paths, you’ll be transported back in time, surrounded by beautifully preserved colonial-era homes. Next, you’ll visit the Liberty Bell, a powerful symbol of American independence, followed by a tour of Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.

As night falls, hop aboard an open-top bus for a dazzling city tour. See Philadelphia’s landmarks sparkling under the stars, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and the iconic Liberty Bell, while learning more about the city’s culture and storied history.

On your third day in Philly, start the morning with a visit to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Beyond its world-class exhibits, don’t miss the chance to channel your inner Rocky by sprinting up the famous Rocky Steps and posing with the Rocky statue at the bottom. Rise and shine to a new day of adventure as you drive to the gaming capital of the East Coast – Atlantic City. After checking out of your Philly hotel, pick up your rental car from Philadelphia International Airport and then start your driving journey to the Jersey Shore. In the evening, you’ll return to your hotel for dinner at one of the Golden Nugget’s excellent restaurants. Afterward, you can try your luck at the casino or enjoy other entertainment options available at the hotel, including live music, shows, or simply relaxing by the marina.

Kick off your Atlantic City escape with a visit to the Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse. Climb the 228 steps to the top for stunning views of the Atlantic City skyline and the surrounding coastline. 

Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach, enjoying the sun, sand, and surf. If you prefer, you can explore more of the boardwalk or enjoy some of the beachside attractions and restaurants. Atlantic City offers a variety of beach activities, from sunbathing and swimming to more adventurous options like jet skiing and paddleboarding.

In the evening, choose from the many dining options available on the boardwalk, perhaps opting for some fresh seafood, a local speciality. After dinner, take a nighttime stroll along the boardwalk, enjoying the sights and sounds of Atlantic City as it lights up for the evening. 

On your last day in Atlantic City, consider a thrilling start to your day with an optional parasailing experience over the Atlantic Ocean. On the final day of your trip, you’ll check out of your hotel and drive back to Philadelphia.
