Well almost, anyway. Most cruises all full board which means you get all your food included in the price with the option to add on drinks packages. Norwegian Cruise Line are unique in that they include drinks packages in the cruise cost, so no need to pay for any extras when on board.
Aside from the food and drink, you get all the activities included too. You can do as much or as little as you like. Many cruise ships have spas (although, you may have to pay extra for treatments), pools, casinos, cinemas, shopping, and more. It’s basically one huge floating resort!

The food on cruise ships is unbelievable. Dine on dishes from around the world in restaurants inspired by celebrity chefs. Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas has a Jamie’s Italian, part of Jamie Oliver’s food empire. This ship cruises from North American and tours the Caribbean, Bermuda as well as New England and Canada.
If you’ve seen Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, you’ll know Guy Fieri is serious about BBQs. Find his burger joint in most Carnival cruise ships, it’s the perfect place to stop by for lunch.
Evening Entertainment
All the cruise ships have entertainment in the evenings. Carnival have an IMAX cinema which shows the latest blockbusters and nightly Lip Sync Battle, take part and make the crowd go wild!
Disney have regular performances on their ship from Aladdin to Tangled, both of which have exclusive songs written for the cruise line. Norwegian and Royal Caribbean also have nightly Broadway-calibre stage shows.
Let loose on the dancefloor and head to the bars and clubs on board. They play a variety of music, and are open until the wee hours.
Family Friendly
Most cruise lines are family friendly, the most of course is Disney. From character experiences and kids’ clubs to generous sized cabins, there’s so much for the children to enjoy. On some Carnival Cruises, you can have breakfast with Dr Seuss, brave the high ropes or the SkyRide and make a splash in the pool.
