Whether it’s enjoying one of the resort’s 2 heated pools and Jacuzzi or splashing around in the crystal warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the RumFish Beach Resort is definitely geared to a love of the water inherited from its owner. There are water sports galore right on the beach to indulge your love of thrills. Why not try something new to you such as wave jet surfing or parasailing. Not feeling so brave? Take a banana boat ride instead. Fishing is also a big sport here that you can enjoy, fly fishing, deep sea or cruising Tampa Bay. Still got some energy to use up? Book one of the tennis courts at the Island Grand! 

A less active approach could mean taking some time to relax and sunbathe by one of the pools or hang out on the soft, sandy beach. Head over to the Body Works Salon and Spa at the Island Grand or limber up in the gym that is also located at the Island Grand. 

Come evening, if you’re in the mood for dancing head over to the SharkTooth Tavern that pumps out a beat for all ages! With an ever-changing programme of performers you’ll catch some top class local musicians too. Fancy your singing chances? Monday night is the ever-popular karaoke time. 

Obviously the kids will love the on-site pools but the beach will also be a big pull whatever their age. As well as the usual sandcastle building and hunting for easy to find shells, there is also an inflatable High Tide Slide. You can’t miss it as it is more than 3 storeys high and 200ft long. 

Try out the bungee trampolines at Island Grand day or night and buy tickets at the TradeWinds Action Zone. Other thrills can be found at the Splash Island Water Park behind the Island Grand. Kids can learn pirate skills, use the paddle boats around the Island Grand’s waterway or join the KONK programme of organised kid-friendly activities.
