On the southwest side of Florida is the paradise of Naples. Soaking in sun, this is where holidaymakers come to enjoy upscale shopping and peaceful golf matches in the most favourable weather in all the USA. Here you can expect nothing less than a premier stay, featuring fine dining, brilliant white-sand beaches, and some excellent cultural activities like visiting The Baker Museum.

Naples Beach & Pier
Made of seven miles of golden sands looking out onto the Gulf of Mexico, Naples Beach provides a beautiful hotspot to enjoy a lavish day sunbathing. The pier is an iconic part of the city, with a concession stand for food and beverages so you’ve got a refreshment waiting for you when you reach the end of it. When you’re here, you can look out over stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico in one of the most privileged spots in the world.

The Everglades National Park is just under an hour away from the centre of Naples, a must-see if you’re visiting Naples. Drive from the glitz and glamour of Naples to the murky swamps of the Everglades, where you’ll hop on an airboat and explore up to 1,900km2 of wetland. This is the only environment in the world where alligators and crocodiles coexist, so seeing them both in abundance around this area is literally a once in a lifetime sight. You’ll also catch tons of endangered animals and reptiles roaming the marshes, as you skim across the foliaged waters on your way throughout this subtropical forest.

Big Cypress National Preserve
Bordering against the Everglades National Park is the Big Cypress, a subtropical forest area where holidaymakers can visit, enjoy bike rides, sail on canoes or kayaks, go hunting for white-tailed deer, or even camp. Like the Everglades, you have an incredibly unique setting to enjoy, though with the ability to stay overnight and participate in other activities other than just sightseeing.

If you’re thinking of a golf holiday in Florida then you’re looking in the right direction. The city is packed full of golf clubs and courses fit for both beginners and seasoned players. Tee off on beautifully manicured fairways with the gorgeous heat giving you just the right conditions for a good day on the course.

Some of the best courses in Florida are here, so you’re in for a treat if you want to test your swing on highly acclaimed grounds. Some worthy mentions are the Old Corkscrew Golf Club which was designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, TPC Treviso Bay, and the numerous courses at Tiburon Golf Club.

Naples’ incredible surroundings wouldn’t be so good if you weren’t enjoying the views with a slap-up meal in front of you. With a ton of high-end restaurants to indulge in, you’ll be over the moon with the city’s selection of upmarket dinner options. Being on the Gulf of Mexico, it’ll be no surprise that many eateries like the USS Nemo Restaurant, Truluck’s, and Sea Salt take advantage of the vast oceans and offer locally sourced seafood.

Others offer a phenomenal view of the Gulf as well as harvest the food from it. Baleen Restaurant features alfresco dining under fire torches, whereas casual restaurants like the Sunset Beach Bar give a relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy light meals and snacks on the white sands of the seafront. HB’s on the Gulf also serves up the finest sea-dishes on the gorgeous beachside too, as well as the fabulous M Waterfront Grille.

If you’re looking for the best in culinary experiences in Florida then Naples is great to consider, as it holds some of the best restaurants in the state, with most featuring privileged views over the Gulf of Mexico.
