If you’re looking for generous sun and endless fun then Orlando is a no-brainer for a holiday in the USA. Families, couples and thrill-seekers alike can enjoy the fruits of this beautiful city, as enjoying a getaway here means being in minimal distance to a myriad of theme parks, several beautiful beaches, and a ton of awe-inspiring attractions that’ll have you jumping with joy thanks to your choice of getaway destination.

Where is Orlando?

Orlando is in Central Florida, where you can dive into action-packed attractions like SeaWorld, Universal Orlando Resort, and Walt Disney World Resort. These parks are within a 20-minute driving distance between each other, but fear not if a beach seems out of reach because it very much isn’t! Within an hour’s drive of the city centre are plenty of highly acclaimed beaches on the Gold Coast, with a load more beaches to choose from on the Gulf Coast if you’re willing to travel a little further.

Orlando Weather?

Orlando is blessed with stellar weather all year round. The heat steps up a lot in May, peaking at 28° in July, however September and October are prime-times as the heat eases off, making optimum conditions for hopping between theme parks. So those who like it hot will love the Summer months in this destination, but Easter is also a great time to go as the slight temperature dip makes enjoying the more active attractions a lot more comfortable.

When is the best time to go to Orlando?

The weather peaks between May and August which makes for the sunniest time to go, though being such a vibrant city, there are other factors that may persuade you to visit at other times of the year. Theme park-goers may be interested to hear that the least busiest time to head to the park is between mid-November and the beginning of December. Or if you’re looking at going in January then you can get your sea legs on for Gasparilla Pirate Festival in Tampa, just over an hour’s drive away from Orlando. Events like rodeos, festivals, art, and motorcycle showcases also occur throughout the year, so there really is no particular time recommended to visit as the fun is non-stop all year round.

Attractions in Orlando

Orlando is bursting at the seams with fun-filled days and adrenalin-pumped rollercoaster thrills, with an army of attractions waiting for you to indulge yourself in. Head to the Magic Kingdom for a whimsical theme park experience, or perhaps Universal Studios Florida to see blockbuster movies come to life in state-of-the-art rides. Epcot, within Walt Disney World Resort, is also a big hit with holidaymakers, and you shouldn’t miss out on making some nautical friends at SeaWorld Orlando!
