World Class Hotels
Las Vegas doesn’t hold back when it comes to its luxury hotel resorts, each is unique, fabulous, and offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Ride a gondola through the canals at The Venetian, loop-the-loop on the indoor rollercoaster at Circus Circus or throw coins into a miniature Trevi Fountain at Caesars Palace.
Amazing Entertainment
Vegas attracts the world’s biggest stars to its spectacular hotels, theatres and entertainment venues for out-of-this-world shows, musicals, concerts and performances. Come and see your favourites in action or take a chance on a new artist and absorb the electrifying atmosphere in the Dolby Live venue at Park MGM or the brand-new Las Vegas Sphere for a one-of-a-kind, immersive concert experience!
Once-In-A-Lifetime Experiences
There aren’t many places you can hop into a helicopter and glide over one of the seven natural wonders of the world, but in Las Vegas, anything is possible. Take flight above the astonishing Grand Canyon and see this world-famous gorge in all its glory, while later that same day ride a gondola down the canals of Venice at The Venetian Resort and hit the casino for a quick spin on the slot machines and a nightcap.
Super Dining
In true American style, Las Vegas delivers when it comes to food. There are innumerable places to eat, whatever your tastes. From Michelin-starred fine dining and a host of celebrity restaurants, quick and casual eats to family-friendly joints, you’ll find it here in abundance. Stay in your hotel or head out to The Strip or Downtown Las Vegas for some unforgettable holiday dining!
California Highlights
California is known for its rugged beauty, with stunning Pacific coastlines, vast deserts, and breath-taking national parks. Of course, there are iconic and lively cities too, from Los Angeles to San Francisco, perfect for those who want a faster pace. Discover the Californian way of life and – trust us – you won’t want to leave.
Beaches
From the long stretches of golden sands at Malibu and Laguna Beach, to the lively piers at Santa Monica and Newport Beach, to the rugged coastline of Monterey – there’s more to California beaches than meets the eye. Pack your sun cream and enjoy a day of ocean breeze and Pacific waters.
National Parks
California is home to nine national parks – more than any other US state. Each has their own appeal, from the ominous Death Valley to the charm of Joshua Tree. Yosemite is perhaps its most famous, attracting millions of visitors each year. It boasts some of the best hiking trails and views in the country.
Vibrant Cities
There’s more to California than beaches and parks though; the state’s cities are well worth a visit (although, granted, most are coastal cities offering the best of both worlds!). From Los Angeles and San Diego to the state’s capital, Sacramento, or the excitement of San Francisco, get ready to explore.
Iconic Landmarks
Picture California and you’ll likely think of at least one of the state’s famous landmarks, from the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. But there are lesser-known landmarks to discover too, including Hearst Castle on Highway 1 and Glass Beach in Fort Bragg.

LAS VEGAS & CALIFORNIA HOLIDAYS FAQS
LAS VEGAS & CALIFORNIA HOLIDAYS FAQS
LAS VEGAS & CALIFORNIA HOLIDAYS FAQS
The best times of year for multi-centre holidays in Las Vegas and California are spring and autumn. In Las Vegas, March through to May is pleasant with temperatures around 21°C to 32°C. You may still need to bring a few light layers for cooler evenings. In autumn, the scorching summer temperatures drop to around 28°C and the weather is sunny. Bear in mind that the mild weather makes spring and autumn peak seasons in Las Vegas.
Spring in California sees the state waking up to a landscape of wildflower meadows and it’s a lovely time to go hiking in places like Yosemite National Park and Big Sur. Early in the season, Northern California is still cool at around 17°C. Some high-altitude ski resorts still operate until April.
The Southern California coastline around Los Angeles and San Diego benefits from mid-20s temperatures most of the year until autumn when it drops to around 14°C. It’s the best time of year if you love harvest festivals and wine tasting. Both spring and autumn are shoulder seasons which means it’s quieter and there are fewer tourists visiting at this time.
California is a state that’s got it all whether you like outdoor adventures, culture and history, dynamic food scenes or bucket list experiences. The challenge? Narrowing all the best places to visit into a California multi-centre itinerary.
After Las Vegas, consider starting the California leg of your holiday in San Francisco. Here, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge is sure to impress, along with cable car rides through the city's hilly streets and a visit to the historic Alcatraz Island.
Move south along the coast to Los Angeles and marvel at the glamour of Hollywood. Check out the Hollywood Museum to get a taste of the golden age of showbiz and admire European antiquities in the impressive Getty Centre. Santa Monica Pier is a must-visit with its amusement park and concession stands.
Further down the coast, you’ll come to San Diego with its prevalent surf culture and glorious sandy beaches. Kids will love San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park which has a whole host of other entertaining museums including the Comic-Con Museum and the Fleet Science Centre.
Inland, Yosemite National Park is a haven for nature enthusiasts with its jaw-dropping waterfalls, granite cliffs and network of hiking trails. Wine connoisseurs can indulge in Napa Valley where vineyards and wine-tasting experiences are plenty.
Lake Tahoe, straddling California and Nevada, is the place to go for year-round outdoor adventures, from skiing in the winter to hiking and water activities in the summer. If you’re interested in doing a road trip, the Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most scenic in the country with dramatic cliffs and redwood forests. Otherworldly desert landscapes can also be found in Death Valley National Park and Joshua Tree National Park.
Las Vegas and California both operate on Pacific Time (PT), which means there’s no time difference on Las Vegas and California twin-centre holidays. Both destinations are generally 8 hours behind the UK.
In March and December, be sure to check when US time zones change to Daylight Saving Time as their clocks change at different times to ours.
For direct flights from the UK to Las Vegas, the best airport is Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) as it’s located around six miles south of Downtown Las Vegas and offers easy access to the famous Las Vegas Strip.
In California, your airport choice depends on your destination. There are 11 international airports in California, including San Jose International Airport and San Diego International Airport, to name a few.
If you’re travelling to Southern California, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the busiest and largest hub in the state. For direct flights from the UK to Northern California, San Francisco International Airport (SFO) gives you easy access to San Francisco and nearby areas.
We are pleased to offer guaranteed prices up to 36 months ahead of your multi-centre holiday. You can secure your perfect package with an initial low deposit today and pay the remainder of your holiday in monthly instalments.
Booking ahead gives you the best rates on hotels and flights, so don’t wait to start planning Las Vegas and California twin-centre holidays.
No Las Vegas multi-centre trip is complete without a visit to the captivating natural wonder that is the Grand Canyon. It’s an easy day trip from Las Vegas but the distance varies depending on which part of the canyon you plan to visit.
The closest and most popular section, the West Rim, is approximately 120 miles (193 kilometres) from Las Vegas. It takes just over two hours to get there by car and you can admire the views from the famous Skywalk or follow the West Rim Trail.
The South Rim is another scenic spot with beautiful views, but it’s just a little farther at around 275 miles (443 kilometres) from Las Vegas. The drive takes around 4.5 to 5 hours one way so it is possible to do it as a day trip but we recommend booking an overnight stay to make the experience more of a relaxed one.
You mostly need to pack lightweight, breathable clothes for warm weather on multi-centre holidays in Las Vegas and California. In Las Vegas, summer temperatures are scorching hot so sun protection is essential. Winter is a lot cooler, even in the desert, so we recommend bringing layers and a jacket. Don’t forget comfortable shoes and swimwear too. If you’re dining at upscale Las Vegas restaurants or attending shows, pack smart-casual attire.
When packing for California, think about regional climate variations. Coastal areas like San Francisco can be cooler, requiring layered clothing. Southern California is pleasant all year round so bring lightweight clothing and of course, swimwear so you can hit the beach. Always bring a jacket for cooler evenings, even during the summer.
Las Vegas is well-known for its diverse dining scene from ultra-luxe fine dining to favourite street food and fast food vendors. Enjoy haute French flair at Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand. You can expect the very best from this three-Michelin-star restaurant.
Over at Caesars Palace, Celebrity Chef Gordin Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen is renowned for its beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding. It will certainly feel like home. Momofuku at The Cosmopolitan combines Asian flavours with modern twists, and Lotus of Siam offers tantalising and authentic Northern Thai cuisine. Head to Bardo Brasserie on the Strip for brunch that feels like a Parisian celebration.
As for more casual fare, Peppermill Restaurant & Fireside Lounge makes great cocktails and Nacho Daddy is always a win for fun Mexican meals the whole family will enjoy. In Las Vegas, you certainly won’t go hungry.
The question is where to start? There are so many family-friendly dining options in California that will keep everyone happy. Scattered across major towns and cities, you can find favourites like In-N-Out Burger and California Pizza Kitchen, home of the famous BBQ Chicken Pizza.
The iconic Cheesecake Factory will satisfy sweet tooths and IHOP (International House of Pancakes) is a long-standing purveyor of fluffy American pancakes. It’s a must-visit for breakfast and brunch.
LA is a hub for unique themed restaurants such as fancy dress pirate dinners and mediaeval banquets to name a few. Beetle House is the place to go for year-round Halloween spooks and Proud Bird has front-row seats to the planes landing at LAX. Whether it’s fast food, fine dining or dinner with a twist, you’ll find it all here in California.
