Beverly Hills

This is were the beautiful people live. Whatever you expect from Beverly Hills, it will not fail to disappoint. Wealth can be seen and felt everywhere. The House of Bijan, the worlds most expensive shop, lives here – you can't enter without a reservation, but it's always worth strolling past to spy the millionaire's cars parked outside. Beverly Hills is a great place for people watching, enjoy a walking tour or just pitch up in a café - you never know who you might see!

Santa Monica Pier

This is LA's best loved beach-side city. The vibe is funky, the people are cool and the beach is inviting. The creativity that oozes from this place is infectious, over 50% of the people that live here work in the arts. Visit the traditional all-American pier which is home to a solar powered Ferris wheel, arcades and diners and famously marks the end of Route 66.

Universal City

Located in San Fernando Valley, this area is owned by Universal Studios Hollywood, making it LA's beating heart of entertainment. Take a tour of the world's largest working movie studio, and go behind the scenes of some of your favorite films. When the sun goes down, Universal CityWalk boasts the best in evening entertainment including restaurants, bars and live music.

La Brea Tar Pits

For a break from the glossy streets and beautiful beaches – take a day out to step back in time and discover what LA was like 11,000 years ago. This was the era when saber-toothed tigers, big cats and sloths roamed the streets, and you can see the fossils to prove it. You'll get to see what a real tar pit looks like and meet Zed, a near complete skeleton of a Columbian Mammoth.

You can head to the casino as any time of the day in Vegas. If you love the thrill of gambling, you won't struggle to find somewhere to indulge in your passion. If gambling isn't your thing, the casinos are still worth a visit. Pitch up next to the penny slot machines and indulge in a free drink or two or take a stroll around the shops – most of the big casinos have their very own boutiques.

Big shows

The very best of Broadway, the world's best magicians and most celebrated performers have all made it onto the stages of Vegas. A show in Las Vegas is like no where else in the world, expect extravagant costumes, incredible sets and unimaginable scenes. This is glitz and glamour personified, whatever you choose to see, you won't be disappointed!

Epic adventures

The landscape of Las Vegas is vast and the opportunities endless, let's not foget, this is the middle of the desert! The Grand Canyon is close by, so a helicopter or hot air balloon tour is an excellent option. Or head to the less visited but equally beautiful Red Rock Canyon and enjoy one of the 19 marked hiking trails. If you'd rather horse than foot, they are plenty of tours available on horseback too.

Downtown Las Vegas

Take a step back from the strip to experience a more laid back style of Vegas. Here you'll find incredible food trucks, and a monthly festival called Vegas StrEATS which celebrates local art, music and delicacies. Downtown is also home to the Mob Museum where you can get an authentic view of a time when Vegas was run by one of the biggest crime organisations in the world.
