However, if you’re travelling in March or November, look out for when their time zone changes to Eastern Daylight Saving Time, as US clocks go forward or backward an hour on different Sundays than in the UK.

The primary airport for UK tourists is Orlando International Airport (MCO), with direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW), London Heathrow (LHR), and Manchester Airport (MAN) taking around 9 hours 30 minutes. 

In the Florida Keys, major airports include Key West International Airport (EYW) but there is also the Florida Keys Marathon International Airport (MTH) for an alternative flight route via Miami or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).

For those seeking a lively atmosphere and heaps of entertainment, Key West is best, with everything from live music bars and vibrant restaurants to theatres and galleries.
