Florida and the Bahamas are 5 hours behind the UK. If you’re travelling in March or November, make sure to check when US time zones change to Daylight Saving Time as their clocks go forwards or backwards an hour on different Sundays to the UK.

Located just 10 miles from Nassau's city centre, it’s close to the capital and it has easy access to resorts nearby. From there, you can also catch a plane to other islands in the Bahamian archipelago.

Watersports are one of the best things to do when you visit the coast of Florida, whether you’re seeking gentle kayaking excursions or adrenaline-pumping parasailing activities. 

Some of the top places to go for snorkelling and scuba diving are the Florida Keys. The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo is famous for its beautiful coral reefs teeming with tropical marine life.
