Florida Highlights
Florida is famed for having a little of everything, from thrilling theme parks to breathtaking vistas and incredible wildlife. Visit coastal hotspots and vibrant cities or head down to the Florida Keys for some peace and tranquillity during your holiday. All while savouring delicious, fresh Florida cuisine, of course. Are you ready to discover Florida’s best side?
Theme Parks
Orlando’s known as the Theme Park Capital of the World and for good reason: with Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, LEGOLAND, and more all to discover, it’s the perfect destination for thrill-seekers. Ride roller coasters, make a splash at water parks, and meet Mickey, Minnie and co. during your adventure.
Beaches
From the golden sands of Florida’s Gulf Coast to the Atlantic east-coast beaches, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Experience the lively Daytona Beach, peaceful Naples, or head up to the Panhandle and discover Panama City Beach. Wherever you head, pack your sunscreen and swimming costumes and dive into either relaxation or adventure.
Year-Round Sun
It’s no coincidence that Florida is known as the ‘Sunshine State’, thanks to its subtropical climate and near year-round mild temperatures. It’s the main reason visitors flock to the state each year dreaming of long lazy beach days under the sun. It can experience daily rain though, especially during the hurricane season that runs from June to November - but it’s brief!
Family-Friendly
With incredible attractions and many beaches with calm waters, Florida is the ultimate family-friendly holiday destination. Of course, there’s Walt Disney World Resort, but beyond that there’s plenty to see and do, whether you’re travelling with tiny tots or older teens. Swim with dolphins, visit museums, or take a road trip to the Florida Keys on an epic road trip.
Caribbean Highlights
The Caribbean is a melting pot of stunning scenery, endless adventure, and tasty cuisine, so there’s no wonder it’s one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations. From its pristine sandy beaches and sparkling, clear waters to the lively nightlife and vibrant carnivals, you’ll enjoy the best of rest and play.
Sandy Beaches
From hidden coves to long stretches of lush white sands, the Caribbean is most famous for its beautiful beaches. Relax on the shore or dive in and discover the incredible marine life that lies beneath the surface, with snorkelling and even swimming with dolphins on offer. There’s even a beach in the Bahamas where you can swim with pigs!
Colourful Carnivals
Caribbean carnivals are some of the world’s most famous, thanks to their vibrant energy, cultural pride, and welcoming atmosphere. Some are more traditional, with centuries-old folk traditions, while others see performances from international reggae artists. But all are a sight to behold and an experience you’ll never forget.
Lively Nightlife
Pack your dancing shoes… because the Caribbean knows how to party! From dance classes to live music, when the sun goes down these islands come alive. Enjoy clubs and casinos in the Dominican Republic, piano bars and cabaret shows in Puerto Rico, and live reggae music in Jamaica. Ready to party?
Delicious Food
You’ll never go hungry on your Caribbean multi-centre holiday, with each island boasting incredible local flavours and cuisines. Savour fresh conch ceviche, jerk chicken, spiced plantains, and flying fish. All best enjoyed with a rum cocktail, of course! Visiting Barbados, we recommend Friday Night Fish Fry in the village of Oistins for an authentic feast.

Florida & Caribbean Holidays FAQs
Florida & Caribbean Holidays FAQs
Florida & Caribbean Holidays FAQs
For multi-centre holidays in Florida and the Caribbean, November to April is the perfect time to visit. Florida experiences warm winters with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. Meanwhile, the Caribbean enjoys temperatures between 23°C and 29°C, so both destinations are ideal for a winter sun holiday.
While winter to early spring is the best time of year for warm sunny weather, it’s also peak season in the Caribbean and busy in Florida. If you would prefer a quieter holiday, aim for the low season which is from June to November. You will need to factor in hurricane season at this time which can bring heavy rainfall throughout both Florida and the Caribbean.
Yes! The Florida Keys are worth a visit if you want to get a taste of the Caribbean in the US. Situated at the southern tip of Florida, this archipelago is a tropical getaway which feels a million miles away from the hectic atmosphere of the mainland.
Key West is the main city in the area. Sprawled on an island just 90 miles from Cuba, this colourful metropolis is famous for its pastel-hued houses and lively nightlife. Once a buccaneering hotspot, it’s now the place to go for watersports and the former residence of Ernest Hemingway.
Nature enthusiasts will delight in the Keys' warm, clear waters which reveal beautiful coral reefs and abundant marine life. One of the best areas for snorkelling and diving is the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo.
And if there’s one dish to try in the Florida Keys, make it a slice of key lime pie. It’s believed to be the birthplace of this dessert after all!
Florida operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST) which is typically 5 hours behind the UK and 4 hours behind when Daylight Savings is in effect.
Most Caribbean nations also observe Eastern Standard Time but not all of them follow Daylight Savings Time. These include Puerto Rico, Barbados, Dominica, the Dutch Caribbean Islands such as Aruba, the French Caribbean Islands such as Guadalupe, Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica.
This means when Florida switches to Daylight Savings Time, there may be an hour difference between the state and the Caribbean country you’re visiting.
For multi-centre holidays in Florida and the Caribbean, the best airport depends on where you want to go first. One of the top airports we recommend in Florida is Orlando International Airport (MCO) as there are direct flights from the UK and it’s located less than a half-hour’s drive from Walt Disney World Resort.
Miami International Airport is another top choice as it’s the largest airport hub in Florida and you can also fly direct from the UK. It’s situated approximately 8 miles northwest of Downtown Miami and it’s just 16 minutes by car or private shuttle service.
In the Caribbean, the choice of airport depends on your specific island destination. Popular islands with non-stop flights from the UK include Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in Santa Lucia, V.C. Bird International Airport (ANU) in Antigua & Barbuda, Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in the Bahamas and Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Jamaica.
If you’re unsure which airport you need for the Caribbean, don’t hesitate to contact our travel experts; they will help you find the best flights for your trip.
We are proud to offer guaranteed prices up to 36 months ahead of your twin-centre holiday. You can secure your perfect package with an initial low deposit today and pay the remainder of your holiday in monthly instalments. Have a look at our Florida twin-centre holidays and start planning your trip.
The Caribbean is a region that’s synonymous with idyllic white sand beaches, swaying palm trees and crystal clear waters. So, where do you even begin to rank such a beautiful tropical paradise for your Caribbean twin-centre holidays?
Let’s start with Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. One of the most gorgeous beaches in the Caribbean, this stretch of sugar-white sand has crystalline waters that are a snorkeler's dream.
Eagle Beach on Aruba is a wide sandy stretch fringed by calm blue waters which offers plenty of space for relaxing and swimming. If you prefer a more secluded experience, Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos is often regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Think miles of powder-soft white sand and aquamarine waters. There are some great restaurants here, too.
Sugar Beach in St. Lucia offers sunbathing in paradise with the wild peaks of the Pitons as a backdrop. Crane Beach in Barbados swaps white sand for pink and is sheltered by a nearby coral reef. And of course, Pig Beach in the Bahamas is famous for its colony of adorable and Instagramable pigs!
For Florida and the Caribbean twin-centre holidays, both destinations have similar tropical climates which makes it easy to plan your outfits.
In Florida and the Caribbean, you’ll want to bring lightweight clothing that’s breathable and cool in humidity. That means packing loose-fitting clothes that don’t cling to your skin. Opt for casual clothes like t-shirts, shorts, and dresses.
Pack a coverup for cooler evenings or high AC indoors and plenty of swimwear for the beach. A good pair of comfortable shoes is also a must for sightseeing while sandals are best for relaxed days. Sun protection like sun cream, hats and sunglasses are essential for both destinations.
If you’re staying at upscale resorts, we recommend packing some smart-casual evening attire like shirts, light trousers and nice dresses. Some establishments have dress codes which don’t permit items like flip-flops or shorts at dinner so it’s a good idea to be prepared.
There are around 700 islands, 13 sovereign nations and 12 dependent territories in the Caribbean, so you certainly have plenty of choice when it comes to picking your twin-centre holidays.
If you’re feeling a little stuck, we can help. Let’s go over a few destinations and what they’re best for, and remember you can call our travel experts to get a more in-depth breakdown of our recommendations.
Starting with the Bahamas, this island nation is a Caribbean classic. Best suited to families, it’s a crowd-pleaser with its world-class cuisine, beautiful beaches, marine adventures and child-friendly resorts.
Next is St. Lucia. This paradise for couples has romance written all over it. Soak up breathtaking scenery from private pools, find secluded seaside cottages and enjoy quality time together hiking the island’s volcanic peaks.
Heavenly beaches and blissful luxury can be found in Antigua. Well-known for its five-star resorts, you can easily spend a holiday indulging in beachside dinners, rainforest retreats and private island escapes.
Culture vultures should head to Jamaica where the Bob Marley Museum is a must-visit and jerk chicken is a must-try. Over in Cuba, you can step back in time to the 1950s where you’ll see colourful classic cars that have been passed down through generations.
Florida is a US state which offers something for everyone whether it’s beaches, history, nightlife, food, culture, nature or theme parks.
Families with kids of all ages should visit the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando where exciting theme parks and the magic of fairy tales await. Nearby, Universal Studios is another must-visit for Harry Potter enthusiasts and rollercoaster lovers.
For a mix of culture, history, and vibrant nightlife, head to Miami. Here, At Deco architecture mingles with Cuban influences and glorious beaches offer a retreat away from the bustle of the city.
If you're looking for beautiful beaches and a relaxed atmosphere, the Gulf Coast is perfect. Places like Clearwater, Sarasota, and Naples offer white sands and tranquil waters that are often overlooked by visitors.
Art enthusiasts who like to explore the realm of surrealism and contemporary art should head to St. Petersburg where they’ll find the Museum of Fine Arts and the Dali Museum.
