Florida Highlights
Florida is famed for having a little of everything, from thrilling theme parks to breathtaking vistas and incredible wildlife. Visit coastal hotspots and vibrant cities or head down to the Florida Keys for some peace and tranquillity during your holiday. All while savouring delicious, fresh Florida cuisine, of course. Are you ready to discover Florida’s best side?
Theme Parks
Orlando’s known as the Theme Park Capital of the World and for good reason: with Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, LEGOLAND, and more all to discover, it’s the perfect destination for thrill-seekers. Ride roller coasters, make a splash at water parks, and meet Mickey, Minnie and co. during your adventure.
Beaches
From the golden sands of Florida’s Gulf Coast to the Atlantic east-coast beaches, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Experience the lively Daytona Beach, peaceful Naples, or head up to the Panhandle and discover Panama City Beach. Wherever you head, pack your sunscreen and swimming costumes and dive into either relaxation or adventure.
Year-Round Sun
It’s no coincidence that Florida is known as the ‘Sunshine State’, thanks to its subtropical climate and near year-round mild temperatures. It’s the main reason visitors flock to the state each year dreaming of long lazy beach days under the sun. It can experience daily rain though, especially during the hurricane season that runs from June to November - but it’s brief!
Family-Friendly
With incredible attractions and many beaches with calm waters, Florida is the ultimate family-friendly holiday destination. Of course, there’s Walt Disney World Resort, but beyond that there’s plenty to see and do, whether you’re travelling with tiny tots or older teens. Swim with dolphins, visit museums, or take a road trip to the Florida Keys on an epic road trip.
Jamaica Highlights
Jamaica embodies a perfect blend of colonial history, natural beauty and relaxing island vibes. From the iconic Dunn's River Falls to the heritage of Rose Hall Great House, Jamaica is an island scattered with must-visit landmarks that tell tales of its rich past and wonderful vibrant present. Together with its all-important beaches and oceanside activities, this superb Caribbean Island has got it all.
Tropical Landscapes
Jamaica's paradise island is a whole new world of natural wonders. You’ll be captivated as soon as you step foot off the plane and into its tropical spirit. Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, the many islands see landscapes of lush rainforest hills, cascading waterfalls, and pristine white-sand beaches kissed by the turquoise waters. Open up your windows every morning to vistas of gently lapping sea waves and towering palm trees swaying in the breeze, where you’re invited to explore its untamed beauty.
Hearty Caribbean Grub
Jamaican food is full of heart and soul. You simply can’t visit without trying some of the island’s world-famous cuisine, including spicy jerk chicken, fresh ackee and saltfish, and an iconic golden Jamaican patty. Whether it’s from a local street food stall or a fine dining restaurant, rest assured you’ll be fed like royalty.
World-Class Beaches
Jamaica has an endless list of award-winning beaches and is an absolute haven for sun, sea, sand, and pure coastal serenity. Fringed with palm trees and lapped by the turquoise waters, Jamaican beaches bring that postcard-perfect charm you’ve been dreaming of. From the renowned Seven Mile Beach in Negril to the secluded beauty of Frenchman's Cove, each and every stretch of Jamaican sand brings something unique. Beach lovers, get ready to find your paradise!

Florida & Jamaica Holidays FAQs
Florida & Jamaica Holidays FAQs
The best time of year to visit Florida and Jamaica is during the dry season from mid-December to April. In Florida, temperatures range from 15°C to 25°C, so it’s an ideal winter sun destination for UK travellers.
Meanwhile, Jamaica sees average daily temperature highs of 27°C and its driest month is February. You can expect to enjoy glorious sun-drenched days made for beach days and outdoor adventures.
While winter is the best time of year for optimum weather in both destinations, it’s also the peak season in Jamaica and busy in Florida. If you would prefer a quieter holiday without the crowds, spring is a good alternative. Temperatures rise from 22°C in March to 27°C by May in Florida. There’s also low humidity.
In Jamaica, spring brings blooming tropical flowers and a pleasant average temperature of 28°C. May hails the beginning of Jamaica’s rainy season which continues through to November, so it’s a good idea to bring a rain jacket.
Jamaica is a popular Caribbean destination for families as it offers plenty of activities for kids of all ages. Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay is a family favourite as it has shallow water teeming with tropical fish, making it ideal for budding snorkelers.
Little ones can also jump off excess energy on the beach trampolines and there’s a kid-friendly restaurant a mere few steps away. For a little more adrenaline, head to Aquasol Theme Park near Doctor’s Cave Beach. It features watersports, waterslides and a playground.
For nature enthusiasts with a taste for adventure, visit Ocho Rios and explore the mystical Green Grotto Caves. Take a tour and trek 45 feet to an underground lake, looking out for resident fruit bats as you go. Older kids will love hiking to Dunn’s River Falls, a 180-ft cascade which tumbles down into turquoise waters.
Wildlife lovers will adore the Black River safari, a boat trip which invites you to admire crocodiles, iguanas and exotic birds in their natural habitat. Mystic Mountain is another must-visit for kids who love zip-lining and bobsledding, while there’s also a tropical rainforest here with waterfalls and a splash pool. Make sure you check out the hummingbird garden while you’re there.
Culture vultures can also get their fill at the Bob Marley Museum, the Columbus Park Museum and the Negril Lighthouse.
Both Florida and Jamaica operate on Eastern Standard Time (EST). However, while Florida observes Daylight Savings Time, Jamaica does not. During the winter when Daylight Savings is in effect, Florida is an hour ahead of Jamaica.
Florida is typically 5 hours behind the UK and four hours behind when Daylight Savings is in effect. Jamaica is also 5 hours behind the UK and 6 hours behind when the UK switches to Daylight Savings Time.
For Florida and Jamaica multi-centre holidays, the best airport depends on where you want to go first. One of the top airports we recommend in Florida is Orlando International Airport (MCO) as there are direct flights from the UK and it’s located less than a half-hour’s drive from Walt Disney World Resort.
Miami International Airport (MIA) is another top choice as it’s the largest airport hub in Florida and you can also fly direct from the UK. It’s situated approximately 8 miles Northwest of Downtown Miami and it’s just 16 minutes by car or private shuttle service.
In Jamaica, you have a choice of its main international airports: Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay and Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston. Both airports are accessible via non-stop flights from the UK.
You can also fly direct from Orlando to Montego Bay. Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay is approximately five miles from the city centre and Norman Manley International Airport is about 10 miles from Downtown.
We are proud to offer guaranteed prices up to 36 months ahead of your twin-centre holiday. You can secure your perfect package with an initial low deposit today and pay the remainder of your holiday in monthly instalments. Have a look at our Florida multi-centre holidays and start planning your trip.
Florida is conveniently located within easy reach of Jamaica, making it a top choice for multi-centres. The Caribbean island is situated approximately 600 miles south of Miami, Florida with the Bahamas and Cuba in between.
From Miami, the flight time to Kingston or Montego Bay is around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Orlando is slightly further away at 2 hours and 10 minutes to Montego Bay. The journey from Orlando to Kingston, Jamaica’s capital is almost 4 hours as it requires a connecting flight from either Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
For Florida and Jamaica twin-centre holidays, both destinations have similar tropical climates which makes it easy to plan your outfits.
We recommend packing lightweight, loose-fitting clothes made from breathable fabrics to help you stay cool and comfortable in high humidity and heat. That means casual clothes like t-shirts, shorts, and sundresses.
Bring a few coverups for cooler evenings or indoor venues with high air-conditioning. Depending on the resorts you’re staying at, you may also need to pack smart-casual attire that complies with their dress code.
You’ll need sturdy footwear for outdoor activities and sightseeing in both Florida and Jamaica. Pack plenty of swimwear for the beach, sandals for relaxed days and a reusable water bottle to keep you hydrated.
Sun protection like sunglasses and sun cream is essential, along with insect repellent. It’s always a good idea to bring a light rain jacket or poncho just in case.
Orlando’s Walt Disney World Resort spans over 25,000 acres and has 4 awe-inspiring theme parks - Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom - so there’s something for everyone. It’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to squeeze in all of them in a day (plus your feet wouldn’t want you to!), a week is an ideal amount of time to see most of each theme park.
If you don’t have a week to spare, narrow it down to your chosen theme park. We think Magic Kingdom is the most iconic Disney theme park as it has famous attractions such as Cinderella Castle and the Main Street Parades. You’ll also find activities to suit kids of all ages.
Animal Kingdom is a close second as it offers some fantastic dining options including Yak & Yeti Restaurant, Tiffins and Flame Tree Barbecue. It’s also the perfect theme park for animal lovers as its key theme centres around wildlife conservation.
EPCOT is a popular theme park among adults as it celebrates human innovation, culture and technology. It has four neighbourhoods: World Celebration, World Nature, World Discovery and the World Showcase.
For film enthusiasts, Disney's Hollywood Studios showcases the magic of movie-making. An ideal theme park for teenagers, there are attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular among others.
Yes! If you’re a music lover and a fan of reggae, the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston should absolutely be on your Jamaica multi-centre itinerary. This museum was once the home of this music legend so it gives you a snapshot of his personal life and music career.
See the very music studio where Marley recorded some of his most famous songs, pick up some souvenirs at the record shop and grab a bite to eat at the One Love Cafe. You’ll also learn what it means to be a Rastafarian, the social and political landscape of Jamaica and the impact of reggae music across the world thanks to the legacy of this music icon.
