Orlando's International Drive is an 11 mile road which has been famed for being an entertainment hub for many, many years. The latest development to the area is the ultra modern I-Drive 360, home to the Orlando Eye, a 400ft giant Ferris wheel which offers splendid views over the whole city. The area also has attractions including Sea Life, Madame Tussauds and a selections of restaurants and bars.
Orlando is one of the largest golfing destinations in the world, with more than 170 courses to choose from. Many of the most popular villa communities and hotel resorts have award winning golf courses on-site so getting some tee time in should be a breeze. If golf isn't your thing, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy a bit of nature, between the airboat rides and nature reserves you're never far away from some open green space.
Not only do you have plenty of beachside to relax on, but the area is also home to Daytona Lagoon, an awesome waterpark and leisure centre to enjoy during your time in Daytona. Including laser tag, mini golf, rock climbing, sky maze and go-karts too, there’s simply no end to the fun at this fantastic in and outdoor leisure park. Located right on the beach front, you’ll have easy access to sandy shores, so you know that your moments of beachside relaxation are only minutes away.
If you’ve visited the beachside a few times and fancy a little change of scenery, then a fun day out is only a half hour’s drive away. Head to the International Speedway, a race track that’s home to one of the greatest sports to come out of Florida, NASCAR racing. If you fancy yourself a bit of a petrol-head then this is the ultimate pastime to get tucked into, and if you’re ever in the area around February time then you’ll catch the famous Daytona 500.
In Daytona you can shop ‘till you drop thanks to the numerous shopping centres around, however the real kicker is Beach Street. An old-school shopping district on an oceanfront promenade, this row of shops features vintage wares, retro antiques, and unique jewellery for you to gander at, while having beautiful weather and a scenic view to enjoy while you’re at it. With plenty of restaurants here too, you’ll have a great selection of eateries to enjoy during your shopping spree.
After your glorious days enjoying the beach and beautiful weather, head to Daytona Beach Bandshell for an excellent night of live music. Having held open-air shows featuring regular tribute artists and occasionally household acts like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, this place sees bands and popstars alike take centre stage to rock your socks off! There’s also several restaurants and shops to enjoy too, so after the show you can indulge yourself with a slap-up meal and a little retail therapy.
