No trip to Orlando would be complete without heading to the biggest and best theme parks in the world – Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment. From the rides to the entertainment and even the nightlife, you'll never find the time to do it all, so planning ahead is definitely advised!
Shopping in Orlando can be an all day activity – the expansive shopping malls come fully equipped with outdoor areas, salons, bars and restaurants. What's more, this is the home of outlet shopping – if you want to pick up some big brand names at discounted prices this is the place to be.
Orlando's International Drive is an 11 mile road which has been famed for being an entertainment hub for many, many years. The latest development to the area is the ultra modern I-Drive 360, home to the Orlando Eye, a 400ft giant Ferris wheel which offers splendid views over the whole city. The area also has attractions including Sea Life, Madame Tussauds and a selections of restaurants and bars.
Orlando is one of the largest golfing destinations in the world, with more than 170 courses to choose from. Many of the most popular villa communities and hotel resorts have award winning golf courses on-site so getting some tee time in should be a breeze. If golf isn't your thing, there are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy a bit of nature, between the airboat rides and nature reserves you're never far away from some open green space.
To the south of St Petes lies Fort De Soto. Covering 1,136 acres and covering 5 islands, there are plenty of activities to fill up a couple of days. The area is also home to campsites and hotels so you can spend a few days exploring every corner. Enjoy the walking trails, take a boat out and fish or visit the historic fort and museum for incredible views of the area
Whilst St Petersburg has plenty of galleries and museums to explore, one of the most famous is the Dali Museum. With over 2,100 pieces of work, spanning the entirety of his career, the museum has one of the largest collection of Dali works outside of his home country of Spain
St Petes is very proud of it's strong musical culture. Join the locals and head downtown where the bars play good music all night long. Jannus Live is a popular outdoor spot for taking in a live music show with varied acts including bands and DJs. You'll also find plenty of jazz and blues at the many concert halls and venues across the city
The heart of the city is filled with attractions, bars and restaurants. Here you're find the famous Chihuly Collection of incredible blown class artworks as well as the museum of fine arts. Hire a segway or bike to see everything that the city has to offer by day, then head back in the evening for the best places to dine and dance in the area.
